Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Ryuta Nakai opened to 4,500 from early position and called a three-bet of 15,000 from Nikita Kalinin, who was in the hijack.

Nakai check-called a 9,000 bet from Kalinin on the 64K flop, but quickly folded after Kalinin put in approximately 35,000 on the 2 turn.

Kerrien Ousted by Jacks

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

The hand was picked up preflop with Clement Kerrien's all-in shove from early position having been called by Kyle Grosshanten and Randy Jacks from the blinds.

The 567 flop brought checks from Grosshanten and Jacks. On the J turn, Jacks bet 20,000 to run Grosshanten off.

Clement Kerrien: A9All in
Randy Jacks: 109

Kerrien was ahead and needed a brick on the river, but the 2 wasn't one of them, as it gave Jacks a flush and a knockout.

Dhaliwal Predicts Value Town

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Paul Patouilliart raised from early position to 4,500, and Harman Dhaliwal called from the small blind. The flop ran out with 7J3, Dhaliwal bet out for 4,500, and Patouilliart called.

On the 6 turn, Dhaliwal announced, "Same bet," and threw in a 5,000 chip. Patouilliart raised to 15,000, and Dhaliwal called.

The 4 river brought another bet from Dhaliwal for 5,000, and Patouilliart called and mucked when Dhaliwal showed 55 for the straight that he made on the river.

Bandeira Puts Chatham in the Blender

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Heads-up to the turn with about 40,000 in the middle and the board reading J734, Lucas Silva Bandeira checked from the small blind to Maclaren Chatham in middle position.

Chatham put out a bet of 17,500 before Bandeira check-jammed for his 55,500 stack, almost the exact same as Chatham.

"I have an overpair..." Chatham lamented as he made his discomfort clear. After two minutes the clock was called, and he ultimately laid it down, conceding the pot to Bandeira without showdown.

David Kluchman

Coralie Renaud was all in from the hijack with her last 25,000 in chips. David Kluchman, one of the chip leaders in the event, had a covering stack in the small blind.

Coralie Renaud: AQAll in
David Kluchman: KK

"Don't worry, I run so bad with kings," Kluchman said, without even the slightest bit of sarcasm. "I really do."

Renaud was worried, all right, and with good reason, as the runout 7349J didn't deliver the ace she needed and she was knocked out of the tournament.

"Seven-Five, the Big Blind Special"

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Players were already heads up on the 7Q3 flop and had accumulated a pot of 13,000. Andrew Lydon was in the big blind against Radwan Khuri, who was sat under the gun.

Lydon had checked, Khuri had moved all in for 38,000, and action was back on Lydon. It took a little while for Lydon to decide his option, but he picked up a matching stack and eventually made the call.

Radwan Khuri: KJAll in
Andrew Lydon: 75

Lydon was ahead with a pair of sevens, but Khuri had two overcards and was now looking to hit on either the turn or river.

The 4 turn and 2 river were dealt, and there was no turning back for Khuri, who was eliminated in the final hour of play. One player asked at the table, "What did he call with?" and another player responded, "Seven-five, the big blind special!"

Dirubbo Spikes Turn to Stay Alive

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Rudolph Dirubbo went all in for his final 10,500 from middle position before Jeffrey Evans called from the cutoff to put Dirubbo at risk as they went to a showdown.

Rudolph Dirubbo: 99All in
Jeffrey Evans: KK

Dirubbo was in trouble against the higher pair of Evans as he put a cigar in his mouth and awaited his fate.

The 33A flop gave him nothing to work with.

Just as Dirubbo looked down to grab his bag and gather his belongings, the cigar wielder hit his miracle on the turn when the 9 peeled to give him a full house.

"There's your nine," a tablemate said to Dirubbo.

"Really?" he replied as he reoriented his focus on the board and realized he had hit his card.

The river was safe when the dealer peeled the 10 to complete the board and award the pot to Dirubbo.

"That's going to be the beginning of the whole story," said Dirubbo as he dragged in the pot to stay alive late on Day 2abc.

Fujita Tests Wong, Who Passes

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Richard Wong opened from middle position before Haruna Fujita three-bet to 11,000 from the cutoff. With the action back on Wong, he four-bet to 32,000, and Fujita called.

On the Q109 flop, Wong opted to check to Fujita, who bet 25,000, and Wong called.

Wong checked again on the K turn as Fujita jammed as the covering stack for 95,000 effective. Over three minutes would roll off the clock before Wong made his decision, and he opted to lay it down.

Fujita tapped the table and flipped over the J, showing her opponent that he made a good fold against her straight.
