Stashin Nearly Gets a Cruel Needle

Michael Stashin on the button and small blind Jamie Dwan got all their chips in the middle before the flop.

The two players were racing with nearly identical stacks, and Dwan took the lead on the A♣J♠6♠ flop with top pair. The rest of the board ran out 4♥Q♦, and Dwan secured the pot.

Stashin told the table he had 75,000 and that Dwan had him covered as he headed for the exit. Tablemate Chris Wallace, though, they pointed out that Stashin actually had 107,000, and the table tried to call Stashin back.

Wallace then noticed that he was actually counting some of Dwan's stack, as well, and Dwan actually had Stashin covered. "Don't needle the poor guy," Marsha Wolak added.

Set Over Set for the Milkman

Patrick Braga in middle position, Corey Eyring from the cutoff, and Mason "Milkman" Vieth in the small blind all put 10,000 into the middle each to create a three-handed pot as they took a flop.

The 3♥10♣7♣ flop led to a bet of 22,500 from Vieth. Braga called, while Eyring got out of the way with a fold.

Vieth jammed on the 6♠ turn and was quickly called by Braga, who put himself at risk for approximately 47,000 as they went to a showdown.

The "Milkman" had Braga in bad shape as it was set over set with one card to go.

Braga's one out did not appear on the 5♥ river as Vieth claimed a victim, adding to a strong showing on Day 2abc.

Martinelli Gives Purdy Respect

Raymond Purdy raised to 4,500 and Luke Martinelli on the button three-bet to 13,000. It folded back to Purdy who four-bet to 33,000 and Martinelli called. On the A♥6♣3♦ flop, Purdy continued for 30,000 and Martinelli sent his cards into the muck to drop back below half a million in chips.

Tepeh Took HIs Time

The hand was picked up on the turn with the board reading 7♥2♥3♠6♦.

Tjan Tepeh bet 15,000 from the button. Marcus McCarty check-raised all in for a little over 200,000.

Tepeh, who had 54,000 chips left in his stack, took a minute to decide if he would risk his tournament life. Then he took another, and another, and a few more.

Finally, someone at the table called for the clock. Tepeh didn't flinch.

When the 30-second countdown hit zero, his hand was dead.

Ho "Finally" Doubles Through Sudrania

Tony Ho was all-in for 100,000 against the red-hot running Nilesh Sudrania, who had the chance to pull into the top spot with under one hour of play remaining on Day 2abc.

Stavila Wins a "Crazy Hand"

"The last hand was crazy," Dan Stavila said as he recently boosted his stack up to 500,000.

Stavila explained that a player in the big blind moved all in for 76,000 and he called with two jacks. "And the hijack folds two queens face up. I win the race against ace-king, when I should've lost to the guy in the white sweater," Stavila added, pointing across the table at Robert Fikac.

Noah Locatelli raised to 4,000 from the cutoff, Brett Shaffer called from the small blind, and Peter Yang moved all in for 19,000. Locatelli called, and Shaffer folded.

Martin Zamani, on his first hand since being moved to the table, did what he does best as he opened to 4,000 from middle position. In the hijack, Sam Chartier three-bet to 15,500. In the big blind, Hannah Lee tossed out a four-bet to 100,000. Zamani laughed as he folded, Chartier was all in for 106,00, and Lee called.

It was a cooler scenario with Chartier the beneficiary as the 8♣3♦3♣ flop changed little. The Q♣ turn gave Lee the only flush draw, but the river was the J♥, and Chartier secured the full double.

Igor Pansovoi opened from under the gun before Jeremy Platt three-bet to 13,000 from middle position. Pansovoi kept the bidding going when he four-bet to 56,000. Platt gave it some thought before he made the call.

The 8♣3♥10♠ flop did not deter Pansovoi, who opted to continue for 25,000. Platt stuck around with a call.

Pansovoi sized up to a wager of 125,000 on the 2♦ turn. Platt did not take too long before he yielded the pot with a fold to award Pansovoi the healthy pot during the last level on Day 2abc.
