Halegoua Shows First

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

Jamie Halegoua limped in under the gun and was the only caller when Yuya Kita raised to 1,200 in the cutoff.

Halegoua check-called a bet of 1,100 on a A83 flop, and check-called again on the Q turn, this time for 2,500.

The Q river checked through, and, with both players reluctant to show their cards first, Halegoua tabled AJ. Unable to beat that, Kita mucked his hand.

Graff Gives up to Peukert on the River

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

Duane Graff opened the action from under the gun by raising to 800. He saw the action fold right around the nine-handed table to Stefan Peukert who call from the small blind and William Hernandez defended his big blind.

The 492 flop saw the blinds check to Hernandez who continued for 800. Both players called behind to see the A turn.

Peukert and Graff checked quickly on the turn and Hernandez asked for 3,000 more. Only Graff called, taking the action heads up to the A river.

Graff checked, Peukert bet 10,000 and Graff gave up his hand.

Dursent Not Initmitaded by Big Raise

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

Three-way to the 522 flop, blinds Tom Dursent and Yosefi Cohen checked it to Erick Lindgren on the button. Lindgren bet 600, and Dursent called.

Cohen then raised to 3,000, which folded out Lindgren. Dursent gave it some thought before he called, and the remaining duo went on to check through the 7 turn and J river.

Dursent tabled A5, and it was enough to take the pot as Cohen tapped the table and mucked.

D'Ambrosio Takes Polk to Value Town

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

Heads-up on a flop of 4105 with several thousand already in the middle, Jimmy D'Ambrosio checked from the big blind, and Doug Polk checked behind on the button.

The 3 fell on the turn, and D'Ambrosio said, "Four large," as he tossed 4,000 into the middle. Polk called.

The 4 completed the board, and D'Ambrosio said, "Four large," again as he tossed out another bet of 4,000.

Polk tossed in a reluctant call, then mucked after D'Ambrosio tabled 107 for tens-up.

D'Ambrosio then flexed both his arms and said, "The wild stallion is ready to erupt!"

"I should have four-bet your ass [preflop]," Polk responded.

Skeens Misreads His Hand, Bests Chamas Anyway

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

Rayan Chamas bet 800 from the cutoff on a flop of 879 and Johnny Skeens raised to 2,000 in the big blind. Chamas called, and the 2 fell on the turn.

Skeens then bet 4,000, and Chamas again called. Both players checked down the 5 river. "Straight," Skeens said, turning over 109. The table then pointed out that he just had a pair of nines, but it was enough as Chamas mucked.

"I can't see that far," Skeens joked.

"Does that make it better or worse?" Yevgeniy Minakrin asked Chamas.

"It's fine either way," Chamas replied.

It's a family affair in the Paris Black section, as Phil Hellmuth's son Phillip III and Michael Mizrachi's father Ezra are both seated here.

Stearns Leads from the Big Blind

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

There were roughly 8,000 chips in the pot on 109Q.

Matthew Stearns checked from the big blind to Hugo Corbel in early position, who checked to Rodrigo Gonzalez in middle position. Gonzalez checked behind.

The 7 on the turn saw Stearns lead for 4,000, and Gonzalez was the only caller. The K on the river did not slow Stearns down, and he bet 5,000, getting a quick fold from Gonzalez.

Anson Tsang
Anson Tsang

Anson Tsang raised to 800 from middle position, Brian Reiss called on the button, and Lucas Blanco Oliver defended from the big blind.

All three players checked the 7510 flop before Oliver led out for 2,000 on the 3 turn. Tsang was the only player to call.

The 6 completed the board, and Oliver checked. Tsang bet 3,000, and Oliver was curious enough to look him up, only to be shown 44 for a straight.

Kornuth "Making Us Look Bad"

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante
Chance Kornuth
Chance Kornuth

As the camera crew came over to film a couple of hands at the table, Chance Kornuth opened from early position, and Michael Cervantes called in the cutoff. On the button, Dor Itah squeezed to 2,500, getting called by both Kornuth and Cervantes.

On the A87 flop, it checked to Itah, who continued for 3,500. Kornuth then check-raised to 10,500. Cervantes quickly let his hand go, and Itah did the same after a small tank.

"Stop trying to make us look bad in front of the cameras!" a tablemate jokingly complained as Kornuth raked in the pot.
