Good Fold... Perhaps

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Yervand Boyadjian raised to 900 in early position, and Brian Smith called one seat to his left. Emery Martindale then called in the cutoff, which tempted the small blind to join in as well.

When the action checked to Martindale on a K107 flop, he bet 2,500, which shook out the small blind, but Boyadjian and Smith both called.

All three players then checked on the A turn, seeing the 6 river complete the board.

Once again, the action checked to Martindale, who bet 11,000. Boyadjian quickly folded, but Smith gave it more thought. After a minute or so had passed, he folded as well, returning his cards with his A face up.

"Good fold," Martindale told him.

"Was it?" Smith asked.

Smith then began a guessing game of Martindale's hand, but Martindale didn't share any further information.

Liu Lands on His Feet

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Players were already on the turn with a pot of around 5,000 and looking at the 42Q6 board. Jason Liu was in the hijack and in the hand with his neighbor Robert Pagano in the cutoff.

Pagano bet 5,000 and Liu jammed for his last 9,200. Action was back to Pagano who was taking a little time to consider his options. He checked his cards, and counted out his stack minus the call, before he put the chips in the middle and put Liu at risk of elimination from the Main Event.

Jason Liu: QQAll in
Robert Pagano: KQ

Liu was ahead having flopped the set, and there was no way for Pagano to come back and take the pot. He picked up his own hand, turned it over and threw it into the muck as the dealer placed the 10 river.

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Ryan Hall opened to 900 from the hijack, and Nicholas Verderamo on his direct left stuck in the call. Abraham Passet then three-bet to 4,000 on the button, and Hall made it 12,000 to go. Verderamo folded, and Passet called

The 5Q6 flop checked through, bringing in the K turn. Here, Hall took some time before checking again. Passet bet out for 18,000, and Hall let his cards go.

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Curt Kohlberg raised to 1,000 from the hijack, Michael Wang called in the cutoff, and the big blind came along as well.

All three players checked the 5AJ flop before the 8 arrived on the turn. After the big blind checked, Kohlberg fired a delayed continuation-bet of 1,700, and only Wang called.

The 4 completed the board, and Kohlberg followed up with a bet of 4,500. Wang quickly released his cards, giving up the pot.
