Matejka Calls Down Vieira

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

With 150,000 chips in the middle, both Joao Vieira and Dominik Matejka checked the {3-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} turn and the river was the {q-Hearts}.

Vieira bet 87,000 and after a tank, Matejka called. Vieira showed {k-Spades}{9-Spades} for king-high and Mateja took down the pot with {k-Hearts}{7-Hearts} for a pair of sevens.

The board read {8-Hearts}{2-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{2-Hearts} with around 190,000 in the middle already.

Tobias Anttila had checked in mid-position and Ivan Gabrieli bet 100,000 from the hijack. Anttila tanked for a while, looked pained but then did opt to fold.

Peters Picks Up the Pot

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Tobias Peters
Tobias Peters

Piotr Nurzynski raised to 18,000 from the cutoff, Tobias Peters called on the button and so did Aleksandr Merzhvinskiy in the big blind.

They all checked through the {9-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{9-Spades} flop to the {2-Clubs} on the turn. Merzhvinskiy checked, Nurzynski bet 35,000 and only Peters called.

The river completed the board with the {2-Spades}, Nurzynski bet 125,000 and Peters tanked. Peters stared at Nurzynski and his neck, cut out calling chips, stared a bit longer before making the call. Nurzynski hesitated before revealing {q-Diamonds}{j-Spades} but was behind as Peters held {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts} for the two pair on the board with the ace-kicker to pick up the pot.
