Yori Epskamp
Head of Content and MarketingAn experienced member of the poker media, Yori Epskamp serves as the Head of Content and Marketing at PokerNews.
Yori is responsible for overseeing and executing PokerNews' content and marketing strategy. He manages and contributes to PokerNews' editorial, video, and social media output, conducts player interviews, and occasionally assists with event coverage. The PokerNews podcast is also a feather in Yori's cap.
Yori joined the PokerNews team in a full-time role in November 2021. In June 2025, a dream came true when Yori flew across the pond to his favorite city in the world, Las Vegas, to cover his beloved World Series of Poker first-hand as a reporter.
After completing his university studies in journalism and sports marketing, Yori played Magic: The Gathering and poker at a competitive level before transitioning into a career combining poker and sports media. He has contributed to various outlets and has written hundreds of articles in his career. Over the years, he has provided live poker coverage across Europe in cities such as Barcelona, Monte Carlo, Prague, and Amsterdam for a variety of outlets.
Yori resides in Hilversum, the Netherlands, together with his fiancée, his daughter, and two bonus sons. He is an avid runner and a proud finisher of both the New York City Marathon and the Berlin Marathon. Although home is on the continental side, Yori's second home is 'Sin City'. He regularly travels to Las Vegas to play poker, catch up with friends, attend incredible shows, and savour the finest sushi in town at Umiya.
