Kaleb Harwell opened to 10,000 from early position only for Joseph Wong to three-bet all in for 75,000 from the next seat. Action was then on John Sacha who four-bet all in from the very next seat for 106,000.

Action folded back around to Harwell who also got out of the way.

Wong had definitely not picked the right moment to move all in and was in deep need of some help.

The flop of 8♣3♥6♠ changed nothing but when the 5♠ peeled off on the turn the table let out a collective, "Oooooo," as if they knew what was coming.

The poker gods did put their sick caps on today and served up the 4♥ as the river to complete Wong's gutshot straight and leave Sacha on the wrong side of a bad beat.

Liu Puts Dubonnet Into the Blender

The action was picked up after Samy Dubonnet in the small blind raised to 85,000 on 8♠4♦3♣A♠ and Sasha Liu in early position re-raised to 150,000. Dubonnet went deep into the tank and called.

The 10♥ completed the board and after Dubonnet checked, Liu fired 275,000.

Dubonnet went deep into the tank once again but ultimately folded.

Craig Varnell raised to 12,000 in early position, which Michael Banducci called in the hijack before Michael Weiss moved all in for 80,000 from the small blind. Varnell called, but Banducci called.

The 2♦Q♦9♠ flop left Weiss with plenty of outs to dodge, but he managed to do just that across the K♠ turn and K♥ river, giving him a full double-up.

Orlando Haas opened from the hijack before Peng Shan three-bet to 37,000 from the big blind.

Haas called and sent them to a flop of 3♣7♥J♠. Shan continued for 30,000, and Haas stuck around with a call.

Shan fired a second barrel on the 2♦ turn to the tune of 120,000. Haas eyed his opponent as he gave the hand some consideration before he opted to make the call.

The K♦ river set the stage for Shan's third barrel as he put together a sizing of 270,000. Haas collected his chips for a call, then dropped them in the middle to look up Shan.

Shan showed K♠8♦ for a rivered pair of kings, but it was no good as Haas showed 3♥3♠ for bottom set.

Thanh Nguyen and Allison Stoloff got all of their chips in preflop from under the gun and middle position respectively, with the latter at risk for her 91,000.

Stoloff had just one over, and couldn't find it on the 4♥7♣8♥8♦9♦ runout. "Thanks for playing!" quipped the dealer as she was walking away, which received a few laughs from the table.

Honghao Shi, also at the table, noted that shouting "payout," would've been slightly funnier.

Hai Chen was already all in and at risk from the button for his last 90,000 chips. He was covered by Gonzalo Almada who was sat under the gun.

Chen was behind when the cards were flipped and the 7♣9♣5♥ flop didn't change the standings.

A 6♦ river saw Chen shuffle in his seat, but he let out a cheer on the A♦ river as he cracked Almada's pocket queens to take the pot and keep his seat in the Main Event.

After the hand another player at the table remarked to Chen, "welcome back into the game!"

Chen said, "I asked him [his neighbor] if I folded would I make it to the money, and he said I had to win one more hand."

Samad then led out for 45,000 on the 10♥J♦9♦ flop. Wissing just called to the 8♠ turn, which Samad checked.

Wissing fired a bet of 75,000, which Samad called after much deliberation. The 4♣ river was quickly checked to showdown, where Samad was relieved to see his J♠J♣ had won him the pot.

Garcia stayed ahead on the 7♥6♣6♦ flop, although Temekonidis picked up a flush draw when the A♣ hit the turn.

Temekonidis found a K♥ on the river to pair his king, earning him the double-up and keeping his Main Event hopes alive.
