Osmar Rockenbach opened to 13,000 from middle position and Joseph Cheong three-bet to 35,000 on the button. Rockenbach four-bet to 77,000 and Cheong moved all in for 253,000. Rockenbach sighed and called, covering Cheong by just 10,000 chips.

Rockenbach was ahead, but Cheong picked up on the A♣Q♠J♥ flop. Rockenback was already stood at the table and had his bag on his back thinking he was covered by Cheong.

Rockenbach couldn't find a way back on the 8♦ turn or 6♠ river, and he was left with just under two big blinds. He nearly walked away thinking he had bust, but he had enough change to play just one more hand in the Main Event.

He moved all in in the next hand, and Celso Sirtoli called from the hijack.

Rockenbach flopped an open-ended straight draw, bringing him more outs on the 4♦6♣5♣ flop, but Sirtoli still had the upper hand with the bigger straight draw. The 8♥ gave Sirtoli the pot, and this time, he left the table for good as the 2♥ river was placed.

That was the question on everyone's lips last summer before Michael Mizrachi pulled off the unthinkable, winning both the Poker Players Championship and the World Series of Poker Main Event.

Now, a year later, people are asking that exact same question.

Mizrachi once again looks poised to make a deep run in the WSOP Main Event, sitting inside the top 50 chip counts, despite falling foul to a quads cooler.

It was heads up to the river with 70,000 in the pot and the board of 4♦6♥2♠3♦Q♦ fanned out across the table.

Jesse Lonis bet out for 58,000 and Johan Guilbert went deep into the tank for two to three minutes before he tossed in the call. Lonis tabled 7♦5♦ for a rivered flush and Guilbert quickly tosssed his cards into the muck.

Loni Hui raised to 12,000 on the button, which only Julius Roque called in the big blind.

Roque didn't hang around on the 9♥9♠Q♠ flop, leading out for 12,000, which Hui called.

The 4♥ followed the same pattern as Roque bet 17,000, and Hui called again.

Roque then slowed down on the Q♥ river, checking over to Hui, who bet 30,000. Roque called and tabled 9♦8♥, which was more than enough to beat Hui's counterfeited 6♠6♣.

With Brooks Haslam already at risk preflop for just 1,000, Benjamin Chalot and Garett Maybery in the blinds checked the Q♦3♣J♥ flop and the 7♥ turn leading to the 4♦ river where Chalot bet 6,000 to make Maybery fold.

Haslam flopped a pair, but Chalot rivered a better pair so Haslam was eliminated.

Wanda Hallman raised to 12,000 in the cutoff and Alejandro Salinas three-bet to 35,000 out of the small blind. Brian Hastings then four-bet to 65,000 and Hallman got out of the way. Salinas went deep into the tank, studied his table neighbour and counted his own stack before sending the cards into the muck.

The by far largest stack at the table belongs to Hossein Ensan, who has nearly two times as many chips as Gabor Winkler.
