Elayday Puts the Ultimate Cooler on Joeckel

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante
Loai Elayday
Loai Elayday

Jordan Joeckel three-bet to 6,500 in the cutoff before Loai Elayday four-bet to 16,000 in middle position. Joeckel then five-bet to 28,500, Elayday moved all in, and Joeckel snap-called for 90,000.

Jordan Joeckel: KK All in
Loai Elayday: AA

Joeckel had run his kings right into Elayday's aces, and the J9655 board offered no miracles as Joeckel was sent to the rail.

When Will the 2026 WSOP Main Event Money Bubble Burst?

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante
WSOP Main Event Bubble
WSOP Main Event Bubble

For many players in the World Series of Poker Main Event, the goal isn't making the final table or winning the bracelet. It's simply making the money.

With Day 2abc now underway and Day 2d still to come, that familiar question is starting to make the rounds of the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas tournament floor: When will the bubble burst?

While the final field size won't be known until registration closes at the end of Day 2d, recent history gives us a pretty good idea.

Assorted Counts in the Field

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

On the river of a 105548 board, Abraham Truzman jammed into Tony Dunst, who went into the tank before he eventually folded.

"Good hand," Dunst exclaimed.

Truzman replied with, "You have ace ten?" in return.

"Show one?" Faraz Jaka asked, and Truzman answered with a single word only: "Pay."

One hand later, Dunst limped the small blind and Jaka checked. They checked the A42 flop before Dunst bet the 7 turn for 1,000, then folded to a raise to 2,400 by Jaka.

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Daniel Rodrigues raised to 2,000 in early position before Dejan Kaladjurdjevic moved all in for 13,000 in the hijack. Enes Avdagic called in the cutoff, while Rodrigues got out of the way.

Dejan Kaladjurdjevic: AK All in
Enes Avdagic: AQ

The 694A7 board gave both players top pair, while Kaladjurdjevic's king-kicker continued to play to earn the Montenegrin high roller a double-up.

Chris Brewer
Chris Brewer

On the KJ28 turn, both Anthony Lande and Chris Brewer invested 25,000 each before the J fell on the river. Lande checked to Brewer, who bet 60,000 with a fraction of that behind.

Lande went deep into the tank and asked if his hand was dead if he were to show, before splashing in chips a few seconds later and instantly revealing his AA. Brewer had that beat with the 22 for deuces full of jacks.

Ishida Ends it on Turn

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Vasken Demlakian opened to 1,600 from early position before Kenzo Ishida called from the hijack. Kyle Goebel defended his big blind to make it a three-handed affair as they took a flop.

The 445 flop led to a pair of checks from Goebel and Demlakian before Ishida took the initiative with a bet of 1,700. Goebel folded, but Demlakian was not done with the hand and made the call.

It checked to Ishida on the Q turn before he kept up the betting with a wager of 4,500. Demlakian gave it a moment's consideration before he opted to fold as Ishida won the skirmish.

"I have the nuts...Ok, the second nuts...Ok, the third nuts!"

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante
Martin McCloskey

Brian Carraher opened to 1,600 from early position and Ricardas Lukauskas called from the cutoff. Martin Mccloskey called from the button and Celso Sirtoli defended his small blind. Steven Baber also defended his big blind taking the players five-ways to the flop.

A 98J was fanned and action checked around slowly to the 7 turn. The same happened to see the J river and no more bets were made before showdown.

Mccloskey said "I have the nuts..." and flipped over his 22. His neighbor Sirtoli then turned over his 33 and Mccloskey said "Ok... I have the second nuts!"

Lukauskas then tabled his 44 to take the pot and Mccloskey said "Ok... I have the third nuts!" He continued with "Wow.. that was crazy!"

Peters Steals The River

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Doron Reuveni raised from early position to 1,600, and Donald Peters called from the big blind. The flop arrived with 2Q10, Peters checked, Reuveni bet 2,000, and Peters called.

On the turn 2, both players checked.

The river J brought a bet from Peters of 3,000, and Reuveni threw his hand away.

Big Slick for Sly

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Todd Senser was first to act and raised to 1,600. Mario Nordet called from the next seat over, but Gregory Sly raised the price of admission when he popped it to 6,500 on the button. Senser called, but Nordet bowed out with a fold.

There were no bets on the 379 flop or the 3 turn.

Senser opted to lead out for 6,300 on the A river. Sly put the chips together and tossed in a call to go to a showdown.

Senser showed a bluff with KJ. It was no good as Sly showed the river hit him well as he had AK for aces-up.
