Segoviano Pushes Out Opponents

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

The flop read 310Q when this hand was picked up in a three-way pot. Rafael Segoviano opted to bet 2,000 from the small blind before Naveen Sama made the call from the under the gun position.

Craig Mason made it more expensive with a raise to 12,000 on the button. Segoviano and Sama both called.

Segoviano took the betting lead on the 5 turn with a healthy bet of 20,000. Neither Sama nor Mason was interested in the hand anymore as they both folded to award the pot to Segoviano.

Kim Finds River Value

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Brian Robinson opened to 2,500 from middle position before Heon-Jo Kim made the call from the hijack. Greg Merson came along on the button to create a three-handed pot.

All three players checked through the A92 flop to bring the 6 turn. Robinson bet 2,000 on the turn. Kim put in the call, but Merson was done with the hand and folded.

Robinson kept up the betting with a wager of 3,000 on the A river. Kim, however, wanted more chips in the pot and bumped it up to 10,000. Robinson gave it a moment's thought before he put in the call.

Kim tabled AQ for trip aces with a queen kicker. Robinson winced in response to seeing her hand and folded his cards.

On the turn 4, Doljevic checked, Del Pozo bet 8,000, and Doljevic called.

On the river 5, Doljevic checked again, Del Pozo bet a chunky 18,000, and Doljevic called and mucked.

The flop came 843 and Dunst bet 6,500. Xu and Pujani both called.

All three players checked down the 5 turn and 2 river, and Dunst showed AQ for a rivered straight. Xu flashed pocket threes for a beaten set before mucking, while Pujani also mucked.

Gregg Holds with Nines

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

The pot stood at around 3,000, and players were heads-up and looking at a 337 flop.

Kevin Eyster bet 2,700 from the small blind, and he was called by James Gregg from late position. The K was turned, and Eyster bet 7,000. He was quickly called by Gregg to see the 10 complete the board.

Action checked to showdown, and Eyster flipped over his 87 for two pair, sevens and treys, but Gregg turned over his 99 for a better two pair, which was good to take down the pot.

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante
Phil Hellmuth
Phil Hellmuth

Sanjeev Sisodiya opened to 1,600 from early position and was called by Phil Hellmuth in the hijack, Stephen Decker in the cutoff, and Todd Michael in the big blind for a four-way pot.

Michael checked to Sisodiya, who continued for 3,500 on the 52K flop. Hellmuth raised to 7,000, and it was folded back around to Sisodiya, who raised again to 14,500.

"Twenty-three thousand," Hellmuth verbally announced as he put in his raise.

Sisodiya responded with a shove, and Hellmuth called all in for 74,500 total after a brief pause.

Phil Hellmuth: 55All in
Sanjeev Sisodiya: 22

Hellmuth found himself on the right end of a set-over-set cooler, and the 3Q runout changed nothing — awarding "The Poker Brat" a double-up in the first level of the day.

"I can't fold second set," Hellmuth said as he collected the pot, "But I can fold bottom set."

Fan Takes Ciltan to Value Town

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

On a flop of 762 with around 5,000 in the middle preflop, Chih Fan led for 3,900 from the cutoff and Dan-Florin Ciltan called on the button.

Fan led again on the Q turn for 5,100, and Ciltan called once more.

The river brought the K as Fan bet a final time for 6,000. It appeared to be the perfect size as Ciltan went into a small tank before reluctantly flicking in the call. Fan tabled Q9, and his queens were best as Ciltan tapped the table and mucked.

Sharma Puts His Hope on Aces

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante
Thijs Hilberts
Thijs Hilberts

Jason Habinsky was all in and at risk for his last 36,600 from early position and was covered by his neighbor, Rahul Sharma, who sat to his direct left.

Jason Habinsky: QQAll in
Rahul Sharma: AA

Sharma was ahead and looking to hold to get a near double as he only just covered Habinsky. Habinsky didn't have to wait long to see another queen as the dealer placed the 4Q5 flop.

There was no coming back for Sharma as the 10 turn and 6 river didn't change the standings, and he was left with just 500 chips, which was less than a single big blind.

In the next hand, he moved all in from early position and action folded around to Thijs Hilberts, who rejammed on the button for around 16,000.

Rahul Sharma: Q3All in
Thijs Hilberts: Q10

Sharma was already behind, but when the ten came in the window on the 106K flop, Sharma stood from the table. He was eliminated from the tournament after the 4 turn and 5 river were placed.
