Brad Owen

Brad Owen and Todd Vankleeck were heads-up in what appeared to be a three-bet pot on a flop of 10A10.

Owen check-called a 2,500 bet from Vankleeck and then both players checked on the 8 turn.

The 5 completed the board and Owen led out for 2,500. Vankleeck tanked a bit, but eventually stuck in a call and Owen tabled AJ for aces-up. Vankleeck mucked his cards and Owen collected the pot to get back up to a starting stack.

Quang Turns on Shin

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

David Quang opened to 800 from middle position and Byungeun Shin raised to 3,500 from the big blind. Quang called, and the players went heads up to the flop.

The dealer fanned the K92 and Shin bet 1,800. Quang called and the 9 was turned. Shin checked, Quang bet 4,200 and Shin took some time before making the call.

A 5 completed the board, and Shin checked. Quang bet out 18,000, and Shin counted out his remaining 68,000 stack before picking up his hand and throwing them into the muck.

Despite losing some chips in the hand, Shin has still managed to climb back up to over starting stack, after he took an early tumble in the first level of the day.

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

Adam Matues raised to 700 from early position, and Idan Greenberg called on the button. Todd Vankleeck squeezed to 2,000 from the big blind, and both opponents came along.

Vankleeck fired 3,000 on the QJ8 flop, and again both Matues and Greenberg called.

Vankleeck checked the K turn, allowing Matues to bet 10,000. Greenberg called, while Vankleeck folded.

The 7 completed the board, and Matues bet 13,000. Greenberg stuck in the call, only to be shown 109 for a flopped straight. Greenberg mucked, and Matues added to his stack.

At the same table, popular poker vlogger Brad Owen has taken his Main Event seat.

Teran Thumps Rotholz

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante
Hal Rotholz
Hal Rotholz

There was a tad over 55,000 in the pot on a complete board of J7492 when this hand was picked up.

Hal Rotholz put it all on the line with a jam for 29,200 from under the gun. The bet put Tomas Teran into the tank.

Teran asked for a count before he organized his chips and took an inventory. The stressed Teran eventually cut out the chips for a call and held them in his hand as he mulled over what to do.

A loud thud thumped from the table as Teran pounded the chips down on the felt for a call.

Rotholz stood up from his seat and showed AQ for an ace-high bluff. A relieved Teran tabled KK to eliminate Rotholz from contention.

"If it was a stupid tournament, I would have made the call a long time ago," said Teran to the table as he apologized for taking time on his river decision.

Auer Piles on the Pressure

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

The action was joined with 14,700 in the pot, and an 8766J board face up on the felt.

Mauro Ferreira bet 7,500 from the small blind, but was immediately put under maximum pressure when Matthias Auer moved all in from the cutoff.

Ferreira had the shorter of the two stacks, with 25,300 behind, and went deep into the tank.

After several minutes passed, Ferreira opted to fold and tried to get Auer to show his cards. His luck was out, as Auer returned his cards to the dealer face down.

Michael Byers
Michael Byers

There were 33,000 chips in the middle to the KJ84 turn when Michael Byers bet 12,000 from under the gun. Yohan Rascar then raised to 25,000 with very few chips behind, and that sent Byers into the tank. After more than two minutes, he told the table, "Sorry guys, call the clock when you want to."

Another minute passed, and one player then called the clock. Byers waved his hand and said, "You don't have to," as he sent his cards into the muck.

Rascar had not said anything, and Byers told him, "I think you are full of shit."

Joseph Clark checked from the big blind on the 6JK flop, and Eric Baldwin bet from the cutoff. Clark called.

Clark checked again on the 10 turn, and Baldwin fired 3,200. Clark once more continued with a call.

The 7 completed the board, and Clark checked for a final time. Baldwin fired a third barrel of 6,400, which was enough to get Clark to fold.

With the cameras on him, Baldwin was kind enough to table KJ for top two pair that backed into a flush.

The 5 turn led to another check from Heaton. Manriquez fired a second barrel for 2,800 and was called by Heaton.
