Saliba Loses to Devore's Queens

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

James Devore opened to 900 from early position but Vivian Saliba three-bet to 3,200 from two seats over.

Devore called and check-called a continuation bet to 2,000 on the 3K4 flop.

Saliba fired a second barrel of 3,500 on the Q turn, but checked-back the 5. She was probably right to do so as Devore flipped over QQ for a set. Saliba threw her cards into the muck.

With four diamonds to the J1049 turn, Jake Daniels in the small blind bet 5,000 and was called only by Wojciech Barzantny. The duo headed to the 9 on the river and Daniels double-checked his cards before he fired a far larger bet of 33,000.

Mystery Hand Wins the Pot

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Sinan Shathaya and Kevin Fernandez were looking at a 97103 board, with 3,000 in the middle.

Shathaya put out a bet of 2,200, which was met by a raise to 6,200 by Fernandez. Shathaya called to see a river.

The dealer burned and turned the 9, and when Shathaya checked, Fernandez continued for a more substantial 13,000. Shathaya made a quick call, and Fernandez pitched his cards back to the dealer face down, surrendering the pot.

As Fernandez hadn't shown his cards, Shathaya wasn't obliged to reveal his either, and as such, he returned his winning hand face down to the dealer, too.

Four-Way Three-Bet Pot, Classic Main Event

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Jason Jang opened to 1,000 under the gun and was called by Andrey Zaichenko in middle position and Michael Englert in the hijack. In the cutoff, Justin Reeves squeezed to 4,500 and all three opponents called to create a bloated pot.

On the A64 flop, Jang opted to lead out with a bet of 5,000. Zaichenko and Englert quickly folded while Reeves called.

The 3 turn checked through to the 10 river which saw Jang lead for 6,000 and Reeves snapped it off.

Jason Jang: AK
Justin Reeves: AK

Both had the same hand and the pot was chopped in humorous fashion.

Beer O'Clock For Talbot

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

On the river of a A86A3 board with around 18,000 in the middle, Parker Talbot bet 32,000. Yu Wu called after only a few seconds of consideration and splashed in more chips than required, after which Talbot verified if it was a call or not.

The call was confirmed and Talbot rolled over the 88 for a full house to win the pot. Moments later a fresh beverage arrived at his seat.

"Good timing for the beer," Talbot said after he had taken a long sip while stacking the chips.

Yuriy Kudrynskyy

Three ways to the 1059 flop, where Paul Tedeschi checked first from the big blind and Yuriy Kudrynskyy bet 2,600 from an early position. Brian Haveson took a few moments before calling from the cutoff, while Tedeschi folded.

The dealer burned a card before revealing the Q on the turn. Kudrynskyy fired a second barrel of 7,800, and this was enough to get Haveson to lay his hand down.

A Bit of Magic by Merlin

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Pierre Merlin opened from early position to 900, and was promptly three-bet by Jesse Freeman to 2,400 in the hijack. The player in the cutoff called, but when action returned to Merlin, he put in a four-bet to 9,000. Freeman called, but the cutoff folded.

The dealer then spread a flop of JQ5, and Merlin started with a check. Freeman took over the betting lead, putting 5,000 into the middle. He was immediately dismayed with the decision, though, as Merlin check-raised all-in for 29,700.

To make matters worse for Freeman, while he was trying to piece the puzzle together, an uninvolved player called the clock on him. This particular trouble was eased when the floor staff agreed he hadn't yet had a reasonable amount of time to make a decision, and no clock was started.

After another minute passed, Freeman made the call and received the bad news.

Pierre Merlin: QJ All in
Jesse Freeman: KK

Freeman had been outflopped by Merlin and would need some help if he were to win the pot.

The turn A offered some extra outs, but the river 7 kept Merlin in the lead, securing him a double up.
