With a board of Q♥5♥J♥8♠4♣ and 22,000 in the pot, Jorge Arriola in the small blind bet 13,000.
Victor Dermendjian in the hijack seemed to have no choice but to call, but he mucked his hand after Arriola flipped over A♥K♥ for a flush.
Action was followed from the turn with a 9♣10♥K♠4♠ board.
Michael Gagliano had checked the button and Shiina Okamoto bet 8,500 from the small blind into a pot of around 10,000. Gagliano called.
The J♣ river saw Gagliano check, and Okamoto move all in for her remaining ~35,000. Gagliano made a relatively quick fold, passing the pot to Okamoto, helping to rebuild her stack.
In the first hand, with around 7,800 in the pot and the board showing K♦J♣10♦, Thomas Muehloecker led out from the small blind with a bet of 2,600. Alan Ho, seated in the cutoff, responded with a raise to 10,000, which Muehloecker called.
The A♦ hit the turn and both players slowed down with a check.
On the 2♣ river, Muehloecker fired again, this time for 7,000. Ho quickly folded, conceding the pot to Muehloecker.
But the very next hand told a different story.
Gnana Duddukuru opened the action with a raise to 1,200 from the cutoff, and Muehloecker called on the button. The flop came Q♣10♠10♦, and after Duddukuru checked, Muehloecker took a stab with 1,100. Duddukuru made the call.
Both players checked the Q♠ turn.
On the 7♦ river, Duddukuru led for 3,000. Muehloecker made the call but was shown the bad news, Duddukuru tabled Q♦J♥ for a full house, queens over tens, to take the pot.
Seven time WSOP Circuit ring winner Cody Stanford fired a large bet of more than 35,000 on the river of a board 7♦5♣4♦Q♥A♦ and only had to get through Andrew Dean, who reluctantly folded.
Stanford immediately bemoaned that he wanted Dean to "call so I can show" while his table neighbor told him, "You can still show."
As Stanford grabbed the cards to toss them over, Dean instantly said "oh no you didn't" but was then shown the dirty diaper - 3♠2♦ which had rivered the wheel.
Leo Worthington-Leese started the action with a raise to 1,000 in early position. Both Jeremy Kusnir in the cutoff and Sukhum Kiwanont in the small blind called.
Action checked around on the A♣Q♣Q♦ flop, and again on the 2♣ turn.
When Worthington-Leese checked for a third time on the 3♥ river, Kusnir decided to take a stab at the pot, putting out a bet of 1,600. A suspicious Kiwanont decided to make the call before Worthington-Leese folded.
Kusnir turned over his 9♠8♠, which was no good versus the 5♠5♥ of Kiwanont.
Steven Buckner raised from under the gun to 1,000 with Tarun Goyal calling from middle position. Andrew Sleefe squeezed to 4,500 from the cutoff, which only Goyal called.
Both players checked the 4♥5♠8♦ flop to see the 10♥ hit the turn. Goyal led out for 6,500 and Sleefe made the call.
The 3♦ came on the river and Goyal bet again, this time 10,000. After a few moments, Sleefe jammed for Goyal's remaining 27,000, causing Goyal to go into the tank. Goyal thought for around four minutes before deciding to fold and relinquish the pot to Sleefe.
Dan Stavila faced a difficult decision.
After he bet 5,500 on the button with the board reading 3♠9♣5♠6♠6♦, Alexander Bunin check-raised all in with more chips than Stavila behind.
Stavila went deep into the tank.
Tablemates agree that it was a full 15 minutes. Finally, one of them called for the clock. The tournament director came over and gave Stavila 30 seconds to act.
A mere three seconds before his hand was to be declared dead, Stavila placed his chips on the felt to indicate a call.
Bunin showed him the bad news: 9♥9♠. He had rivered a full house.
Stavila turned over K♠2♠, but the king-high flush he made on the turn wasn't good enough.
A player told Bunin that the wait must have been the greatest 15 minutes of his life.
"Yeah, but don't tell my wife," Bunin said.
On the tail end of a K♦9♠6♠2♠8♠ board, Manig Loeser in the big blind bet 15,000. Robert Mclean was on the verge of folding and had already grabbed his cards, then mulled it over before he eventually called.
Another player at the table instantly remarked "straight flush?!" and Loeser indeed showed the goods with 7♠5♠ for the nuts to win a decent pot.
Garret Reisz made it 1,000 under the gun. Mark Blake and Mohammad Siddiqui called in late position before Bastien Chopin three-bet on the button.
Reisz four-bet to 11,000, which folded out Blake and Siddiqui. Chopin called to the K♠9♠Q♥ flop, where he was met with a bet of 5,000 from his opponent.
Chopin then moved all in for 30,500, quickly being called by Reisz, who had him covered.
Bastien Chopin: A♠10♠
Garret Reisz: J♦J♣
Reisz's jacks were ahead for the moment but Chopin had plenty of outs to choose from. The A♥ turn was one of them, and the 5♥ river secured him his double-up.
Patrick Christensen opened to 1,000 from the cutoff and Randolph Sells called on the button.
The 5♦J♠7♠ flop was bet by Christensen to 1,500 and Sells called.
Christensen bet 5,000 on the K♥ turn, which saw Sells fold, passing a small pot to his neighbour.
