Martin Bursts the Bubble

It took a long while before the dealer let Lucas Martin and Diego Aro play the hand in such a big field. Martin went all in in the cut off and got called by Aro in the big blind.

Once the players flipped their cards, the room got excited because it was a classic battle, aces versus kings.

Picone's Hero Call Catches Mallu's Bluff

Level 17 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

During hand-for-hand play during bubble time, Alli Mallu bet 120,000 on a pot of 400,000 with a board of J38JA. Igor Picone, his heads-up opponent, went into the tank to consider his options. Finally he made the call.

The moment Picone called, however, Mallu immediately mucked his hand. Picone turned over Q7 for queen-high.

Minh Phan called from the button, and Vinh Ho re-raised to 210,000 from the big blind. Both players folded, and they were off to see five.

Taylor Makes Lopez Fold

The action was picked up when the board showed the flop: 2JQ. Haven Taylor in early position check-called Eliud Lopez for 31,000. The dealer revealed the turn Q. Both players checked to the river 4. The action was back again, to Taylor who decided to throw in 30,000 in chips. Lopez gave it a thought but quickly folded his cards.
