Courtesy Double for Courty

Level 9 : 400/800, 800 ante

"I think I am covered," the comment came from one of the late entrants as they had just ran their {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs} into the {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds} of Mathieu Courty. No ace or broadway magic appeared on the {8-Hearts}{6-Spades}{3-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{9-Clubs} board and the 55,600 of Courty were the superior stack.

Also featured on the table is Elodie Noel, who has chipped up slightly since entering the second flight.

Chiriac Up and Running on Second Bullet

Level 9 : 400/800, 800 ante

More than 30 players have already re-entered and among them is also George Chiriac. Now featured over on table 21, he claimed one of the last hands prior to the break when he battled with Stephanie Montrichard. On the {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{4-Hearts} turn, he checked in the small blind and Montrichard bet 7,000.

Chiriac check-raised to 19,000 and forced a reluctant fold.

Extended Break After Level Eight

Level 8 : 300/700, 700 ante

With an already big field of 411 entries, there are 331 players remaining upon completion of level eight. An extended break of 30 minutes has started in which the T-25 chips will be raced off and many of the players will be heading to the terrace to grab something to eat or already challenge their Beer Pong skills.

Urpo Doubles Flush Over Flush

Level 8 : 300/700, 700 ante

On a completed board of {k-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{6-Spades}, Jean Jacques Balsemin bet 12,000 and Lari Urpo then pushed all-in for 35,650. Balsemin tank-called with the {7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} for a flush but Urpo had the best of it with {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} for the nut flush on this paired board.

Israel Doubles Through Lefur

Level 8 : 300/700, 700 ante

The cards of Yannis Lefur were already in the muck as he paid off the full double worth 44,400 for Nemo Israel on a board of {5-Hearts}{3-Spades}{2-Spades}{7-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} flop. "I could have also done that with ace six of spades," Israel replied to his table neighbour but as a matter of fact, the winning hand was {6-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} for the flopped six-high straight.

Lefur's holdings were not disclosed as both talked about the hand some more.

Parisot Gets Some Chips Back

Level 8 : 300/700, 700 ante

Following a flop of {4-Spades}{3-Clubs}{2-Clubs}, Nicolas Murcia checked and Clement Parisot bet 3,100 on the button for his table neighbour to call. The {7-Spades} followed on the turn and Murcia checked once more. Parisot now bet 10,000 and that won the pot.

Despite winning this hand without showdown, Parisot remains below the starting stack while Murcia is well ahead of it.
