Karrim Joins the Chip Leaders

Level 11 : Blinds 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante

After their table broke, Ahmed Karrim and Elai Mazor moved their big stacks over to table six and joined the likes of SM and Brandon Matthews to put well more than one million chips on the table.

Karrim got to work right away and tangled with Matthews in a three-bet pot. On the J438 turn, Matthews checked in the big blind and called a bet worth 55,000 by Karrim. Matthews checked and sigh-called another 38,000 on the A river. Karrim showed the 43 for two pairs and Matthews mucked the KK.

Karrim then opened to 5,500 and Matthews as well as SM called in the blinds. On a 1065 flop, the blinds check-called Karrim's 8,500 but check-folded the J turn when Karrim fired a second barrel for 31,000.

In the meanwhile, Jon Per Persent was eliminated by Danny Dayani as the field was cut down further.

The Big Stack Bully Has Arrived

Level 11 : Blinds 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante

"SM" arrived with his massive stack over on table six and one of the first few hands produced a flop of 983. Stephen Courtney in the big blind led for 11,000 and Brandon Matthews called in the hijack. SM then bumped it up to 45,000 in the cutoff and both opponents folded.

"I had two pair," Matthews added and that left SM somewhat surprised.

SM then opened to 5,000 in the next hand for Courtney and Tanith Rothman to defend their blinds. Only Courtney check-called for 5,000 on the A53 flop to then check-fold the 9 turn when SM made it 10,500 to go.

SM continues his very aggressive playing style that has propelled him to the largest stack in the room right now.
