Sean Yu

In a hold'em-heavy schedule like the Wynn Summer Classic's, the non-hold'em games are always a treat. The $50,000 guaranteed $1,100 Mixed Triple Draw was no exception.

A total of 192 players turned out for the event, a solid turnout for this festival's one-day events. High attendance meant the prize pool was $187,200, with $45,396 set aside for the first-place finisher.

Sean Yu was the player who managed to take the event down, earning that $45,396 check. His closest competition was Ryan Hoenig who he defeated heads up and Joshua Brower who took third.

Hoenig and Brower earned $28,155 and $20,274, respectively, for their podium finishes.

The king of Wynn daily tournaments, Jeremy Becker, was back at it crushing a tournament at Wynn Las Vegas on Thursday.

Becker may have moved on to higher stakes, but he's still doing big things in the Las Vegas casino that made him known around the poker community. "JBex" didn't add another win at Wynn, but he did finish in third place out of 147 players for $16,697.

That was a deep run, but not deeper than the champion, Gaston Catzman, who received $38,697 all for being the last player standing. Catzman beat Stephen Kehoe, who collected $23,892, heads-up for the trophy.

Eight players won over $100,000 in the $2,200 Mystery Bounty No-Limit Hold'em, a $3 million guaranteed event.

Three of those players hit the six-figure payout through the mystery bounty envelopes, and five others via the main prize pool. When all was said and done, after the field had dwindled down to just two players, Daniel Lee and Ardit Kurshumi were left battling for the trophy.

Both players had already locked up at least $258,335, not including bounties. But it would be Lee who got the job done to win the tournament for $380,332, and he collected the final mystery bounty of the tournament in the process.

Kurshumi finished as the runner-up, while Kaifan Wang took third place for $191,224, Anthony Kim busted in fourth place for $146,232, and Cherish Andrews rounded out the top five with a $113,436 payout.
