Jung Crippled

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Justin Saliba looked to have check-raised to 72,000 in the small blind against Seungmook Jung in the big, who had responded with an all-in shove. The board read {6-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} and the two had very similar stacks around 200,000.

Saliba tanked a long time and seemed to be looking around to see if anyone else was all in. Finally, he called and showed {a-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}. Jung showed {10-Clubs}{4-Hearts} for top pair.

The {j-Clubs} turn missed Saliba but the {7-Diamonds} river delivered a winning flush. Jung was forced in from the small blind the next hand.

Song Reduces the Field

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

A short-stacked player got the last 50,000 or so in with {k-Spades}{7-Clubs} but was dominated by the {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds} of Kevin Song. The {10-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{10-Spades} flop brought nothing much for either player but the {a-Hearts} turn ended things early.

Pustina Busts Two

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

It looked like Vlastimil Pustina limped under the gun and saw two players behind him shove. One was Matt Stout, who had about 190,000. The next player called off for less. Action folded back to Pustina and he called with {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}.

That was good against Stout's {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} and the third player's {8-Hearts}{8-Spades}, and the queens held as the board ran {a-Spades}{j-Spades}{4-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}.

Qartomy Gambles and Wins

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

A player in the big blind shoved all in on a board of {7-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}. He had about 225,000, and overbet into a pot of 150,000 or so. Ray Qartomy called off most of his remaining chips and said he was gambling with a big draw.

Qartomy: {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}
Big blind: {j-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}

Qartomy had a heap of outs and one fell on the {a-Clubs} river.

Balzano Busted as Moorman Triples

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Chris Moorman
Chris Moorman

A three-way all in was underway when we arrived to the table housing Chris Moorman, with the British pro the shortest of the bunch.

Moorman (button): {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}
Paul Balzano (hijack): {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}
Qing Liu (middle position): {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts}

The board ran {7-Spades}{q-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} and Moorman collected about 190,000 from each opponent. Balzano had about 250,000 beyond that and sent it all to Liu with a shake of the head.

Pupillo Out After Lost Race

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Nick Pupillo said he shoved 140,000 over an open from Eric Afriat near the end of the previous level. Afriat called him with {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs} and prevailed on the river against Pupillo's {10-}{10-} when he paired his king.
