Koliofotis Makes a Mess; Doubles Through Verbakel

Level 17 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Georgios Koliofotis
Georgios Koliofotis

The flop showed J92 and there was some commotion on the table with the cards of Georgios Koliofotis already exposed, as he had the KQJ9 flipped over. His full stack was motioned forward as well but Bjorn Verbakel insisted that it was not all-in but just a pot-sized call of 177,000.

Once the mess was sorted out, the turn came with the 7 and Verbakel checked. Koliofotis shrugged at him and indicated he was already all-in for the last of it. "Now I got a gutshot also ... how can I fold," Verbakel said and called with the AAJ10.

The 10 river gave Koliofotis further improvement with the king-high straight and he doubled for 52,500.

Patrick Ronacher made it 15,000 from the hijack before Bouwe Claushuis three-bet the button to 50,000. When it got back to Ronacher, he jammed, and Claushuis called for his stack of 100,000 total.

Bouwe Claushuis: AK65 All in
Patrick Ronacher: AAQ4

Claushuis was up against double-suited aces, but he did pick up some outs on the KJ2 flop by hitting a pair of kings. The 3 turn gave Ronacher a flush draw, and although the 5 river gave Claushuis two pair, Ronacher hit a wheel, sending Claushuis to the rail.

On the river of a 107483 board, Georgios Koliofotis moved all-in against Marek Pigula and that sent his opponent deep into the tank.

"I have good blockers," Koliofotis joked and the clock was called on Pigula soon after. Thirty seconds ran down without a decision and his hand was dead.

"Show the bluff," Alexander Hepting said and Koliofotis flashed the 22.

Stanislav Koleno: AAQ7 All in
