A total of 2,036 entries formed a prize pool of $1,425,200. The final 306 players will make the money, taking home at least a min-cash of $1,648. The eventual winner will take home a payday of $196,659, in addition to the WSOP bracelet.

The final nine players in poker's biggest tournament, the WSOP Main Event, have officially been set.
Twenty-two-year-old Lucas Jumalon leads the way after a stunning Day 8 performance saw him build a towering stack of 194,000,000 chips. He will return on August 3 in pole position, just eight eliminations away from becoming poker's newest world champion.
Behind him sit Rami Hammoud and Jamie Shaevel, who round out the top three, while the most decorated players remaining are Canada's Greg Mueller with three bracelets, and America's Michael Gagliano, with four.

The World Series of Poker (WSOP) is set to usher in a new era for its winter flagship, WSOP Paradise, after confirming the festival will move from Atlantis Paradise Island to the luxury Baha Mar resort, also in the Bahamas.
The 2026 edition, slated to run from Tuesday, December 1 to Friday, December 18, will shuffle up and deal in a new home roughly six miles up the Bahamian coast from where Austria’s Bernhard Binder announced himself to the wider poker world, capturing the record-breaking 2025 WSOP Paradise Super Main Event just a few months ago.
In an announcement on social media platform X, the WSOP wrote, "The next chapter of WSOP Paradise is coming... Bigger. Better. Unmissable. This December, the world's fastest-growing poker event arrives at the stunning Baha Mar."

Event #98: $800 Deepstack No-Limit Hold’em is one of the final opportunities to grab a bracelet at the 2026 World Series of Poker (WSOP) at the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas. The two-day event kicks off at 10 a.m. on July 14. A large field is expected given the relatively affordable buy-in and 30-minute levels throughout. It will be action all the way as players look to end the summer in style.
It’s an early start for those entering Event #98: $800 Deepstack No-Limit Hold’em, with play getting underway at 10 a.m. local time. Just one reentry is permitted, and each player will start with a stack of 40,000 chips.
In addition to regular breaks every four levels (two hours), players will take a 75-minute dinner break after Level 16 at about 7 p.m. Day 1 will continue until the end of Level 22.
All surviving players will return for Day 2, which starts at 11 a.m. local time. The tournament will then play down to a winner. Traditional PokerNews coverage will begin on Day 2.
Given the lower buy-in compared to other events, the $800 Deepstack usually attracts a field of lesser-known players. Argentine Mariano Balfagon took home the bracelet last year along with $252,386, which accounted for the vast majority of his career live tournament earnings.
In 2024, it was Timur Margolin who outlasted a larger field of 4,278, earning the Israeli $342,551.
