2026 World Series of Poker
Level: 31
Blinds: 150,000/300,000
Ante: 300,000
Gary McCoy opened with a raise to 600,000 from the cutoff. Nikolaos Kontizas was on the button, and he clicked it to 1,050,000. Action folded back around to McCoy, who moved all in for his stack of 6,225,000.
Kontizas went into the tank, and pushed forward 6,225,000, but didn't announce, "call," as he counted what he would have behind should he lose. Eventually, he announced, "If it's a cooler, it's a cooler," and stuck in a call.
Gary McCoy: A♣Q♦
Nikolaos Kontizas: A♠K♠
Little did Kontizas know it, but it would be a cooler as the Q♥3♥6♦ flop gave McCoy the lead, with the Greek needing to hit to stay alive. The 10♠ turn gave him four more outs, but the Q♠ river gave McCoy trips, as he tapped the table.
Keith Schiller raised from the cutoff to 500,000. Yunhan Yang moved all in for 1,250,000. Schiller quickly called.
Yunhan Yang: 7♣7♠
Keith Schiller: 8♥8♠
The board was Q♣5♥5♠Q♠J♦ and Schiller won with the higher two pair.
Moshe Manzur opened to 500,000 from middle position and was looked up by Nikolaos Kontizas in the cutoff.
The flop came A♠8♣10♠ and Manzur jammed all in for about 2,000,000. Kontizas snap-called.
Moshe Manzur: A♣8♠
Nikolaos Kontizas: A♥A♦
Kontizas had laid the trap perfectly and it had sprung on the flop with Manzur deeply stuck in it.
Nothing changed on the 5♣ turn and the 4♥ brick on the river sealed the deal. Kontizas scooped in the big pot whilst Manzur was sent packing.
Yaroslav Korolev and John Agelakis got all of their chips into the middle preflop from the cutoff and small blind respectively. Agelakis' stack of 2,300,000 was covered, but not by much.
John Agelakis: A♠J♠
Yaroslav Korolev: A♣10♥
The 10♠9♥9♣ flop flipped the script completely, as it was now Agelakis who needed to hit for his tournament life. The 6♥9♦ was no help, as Korolev improved to a full house.
Agelakis picked up his cards and slammed them face down, as he waited for his elimination to be confirmed by the floor.
Evgeny Kharchenko raised to 500,000 from under the gun only for Ethan Doan to three-bet all in for 1,925,000 from the small blind. Action folded back around to Kharchenko who made the call and had Doan covered.
Ethan Doan: A♦J♥
Evgeny Kharchenko: K♣10♥
No help came for Kharchenko on the 8♦J♦2♦5♣4♦ runout and Doan was shipped the pot for a double-up.
Vu Tran raised to 400,000 from the hijack. Guillermo Marquez utilized his big stack and moved all in from the button for 6,900,000. Marcos Da Silva was sitting in the small blind with a 100,000 chip behind and took his time, but did make the call. Dean Kerl called 400,000 and was quickly reminded of Marquez's shove, so he mucked and surrendered the 400,000. Tran reluctantly folded.
Marcos Da Silva: Q♦4♦
Guillermo Marquez: 2♦2♥
The board blessed Da Silva with J♥Q♦Q♠A♠7♦, and trip queens won the pot again for Da Silva, who was the chip leader from Day 1d.
Action was picked up in a massive river spot, as as large pot was contested between big blind Yoav Zvi and early position player David Hirst.
With 2,600,000 in the middle, and a completed board reading 6♥5♥5♠7♦2♦. Zvi led out with an overbet of 2,800,000. Hirst didn't think for too long, before he opted to move all in for his stack of 4,125,000.
Zvi went into a small tank, before calling off after around 30 seconds.
David Hirst: 6♣6♦
Yoan Zvi: J♣5♣
Zvi's trips was no good, however, as Hirst had flopped a boat. He scooped the pot to cross the seven figure mark.
Zvi was eliminated shortly after.
