Koon Runs Out of Chips in Two Hands
Jonathan Depa raised the pot to 175,000 and Jason Koon asked for the stack of Sean Winter one seat behind him before he called off a shorter stack in the cutoff. The other three players behind folded and they headed to the Q♥10♠7♦ flop. Depa jammed for 285,000 and Koon quickly called.
"Top set," Depa said and revealed his A♠K♣Q♣Q♦. Koon had a wrap with the K♠Q♠J♣J♠ and got there on the 9♣ turn, as Depa already got up from his chair. However, the 9♦ river paired the board and Depa doubled to leave Koon on fewer than five blinds.
In the next hand, Koon raised the pot to 175,000 and then called all in when Chris Frank reraised behind.
Jason Koon: A♦K♦8♦6♦
Chris Frank: Q♦J♠J♥10♥
The K♠5♥2♣ flop vaulted Koon into the lead while the 9♣ turn gave Frank a full wrap, which completed with the J♣ river.
"Okay, goodbye," Koon said, gathered his belongings and left.
