Shortly afterward, Hellmuth was heads-up against Sam Soverel and faced with a 31,500 bet from Soverel on a completed board of 4♠8♦9♦2♣5♣.
Hellmuth called and Soverel showed K♦J♠7♣6♥ for a straight. Hellmuth declared he held two pair and mucked.
