Defending champion Michael Wang opened to 700 from middle position and was three-bet to 2,000 by Michael Conoran in the cutoff. Drake Kemper called cold on the button, Jeffrey Vaughn called cold in the big blind, and Wang called as well for another inflated multiway pot.
Everyone checked on the 5♠3♣7♦ flop, and then Vaughn led out for 8,000 on the Q♦ turn. Wang and Conoran folded, but Kemper called.
The 4♦ fell on the river and Vaughn continued for 15,000. This time Kemper let his hand go after a bit of thought and Vaughn collected the pot.
