Jan Sanchez raised to 260,000 from under the gun, and Julian Eibel defended his big blind to the 9♦7♥6♣ flop.
Both players checked to the Q♠ turn, and another pair of checks led to the 4♦ river.
Eibel led out for 410,000, and Sanchez took his time before sticking in the call. Eibel tabled A♠9♠ for a pair of nines, good enough to claim the pot as Sanchez mucked his hand.
Brandon Hamlet raised to 220,000 from under the gun and was looked up by Nethanel Cohen in the small blind. Action was on Valentin Oberhauser in the big blind who went into the tank before he three-bet to 900,000.
Hamlet tanked for a short while before he put in a four-bet to 1,800,000. Cohen folded faster than a kangaroo on a trampoline and action was back on Oberhauser who went back into the tank before he five-bet all in. Hamlet had Oberhauser covered and didn't even need a count before he snap-called.
Valentin Oberhauser: Q♣Q♦
Brandon Hamlet: A♥K♠
A clean flop for Oberhauser of 5♦10♥4♥ but when the K♣ peeled off on the turn Hamlet steamed into the lead. The A♦ rolled off on the river to give Hamlet two pair and send Oberhauser to the rail in 12th place.
Aram Zobian announced a raise to 1,400,000 in the small blind, and Leonardo Alves called off his last 1,000,000 in the big blind.
Leonardo Alves: A♠8♠
Aram Zobian: K♥5♦
Alves asked the dealer for an ace, but was content with the 8♣4♣2♣J♥8♦ runout to secure the double-up.
On the very next hand, Zobian opened to 240,000 on the button and called when Alves moved all in from the small blind.
Leonardo Alves: Q♥J♦
Aram Zobian: A♠K♥
Alves found help on the 8♦6♥10♣Q♦5♥ board, hitting his queen to earn another double through Zobian as the two continued to trade massive pots.
Leonardo Alves opened to 250,000 before Aram Zobian three-bet to 775,000 across the table. Alves replied with a four-bet to 1,300,000, and Zobian moved a five-bet forward for 2,740,000 while leaving a single 5,000 chip behind.
Alves announced all in, and Zobian made the call for his final chip.
Aram Zobian: Q♠Q♦
Leonardo Alves: A♠A♥
Alves was well in front, and his aces remained in the lead after the 10♥3♦4♣ flop. Zobian then spoked the Q♥ turn, holding on the J♦ river to earn the unlikely double.
At the other table, Brandon Hamlet raised to 240,000 before Julian Eibel three-bet to 775,000. Hamlet took a moment before four-betting to 1,100,000, and Eibel let his hand go.
Hyun Cho raised to 250,000 from the cutoff only for Ciro Gonzalez sat on the button to three-bet to 630,000. Action came around to Octavio Borra in the big blind who four-bet all in for approximately 800,000. Cho got out of the way and Gonzalez made the call for not much more than his raise.
Octavio Borra: Q♣Q♠
Ciro Gonzalez: Q♥K♥
The flop came 2♣10♣A♦ and changed nothing but did give Borra a sweat and some outs to dodge. The A♥ came on the turn and when the 6♥ bricked out the river he was home and dry for a double up.
Action folded around to Ben Squelch in the cutoff who open-jammed all in for 1,500,000. It came around to Ciro Gonzalez in the big blind who squeezed his cards and snap-called.
Ben Squelch: 6♥6♦
Ciro Gonzalez: A♦A♥
No miracles for Squelch on the 9♠4♥5♣Q♠J♦ run out and he was sent packing in 13th place.
Jan Sanchez limped from under the gun and action folded around to Julian Eibel in the big blind who raised to 550,000. Sanchez went into the tank for a while before he announced that he was all in for 3,300,000. Eibel didn't like it but he made the call.
Jan Sanchez: A♠A♦
Julian Eibel : J♠J♥
No dramas for Sanchez on the 3♣Q♣3♠2♦K♠ run out and he was pushed the pot for the double up.
With Antoine Labat all in at the other end of the table, Leonardo Alves fired a bet of 225,000 in the small blind on the 8♣6♥K♠4♦ turn.
Hyun Cho let his hand go in the big blind, and the remaining two hands were turned up.
Antoine Labat: A♦3♦
Leonardo Alves: K♦Q♣
Alves had the lead with his pair of kings, and the 3♠ river was not enough to save Labat from a 14th-place exit.
