Rheem Holds On; Big Stacks Battle
Chino Rheem limped from the small blind and Marco Johnson checked the big blind. The pair saw a K♥J♣K♦ flop and Rheem bet 250,000. Johnson paid to see the 6♦ turn and Rheem checked to Johnson, who moved out 600,000. Rheem muck, and slid down further in the counts.
A few hands later, Kenzo Ishida opened to 750,000 on the button and Rheem jammed for 9,680,000. Ishida mucked and Rheem picked up the raise and the blinds, sitting back with over ten million.
Most of the battles have been between Ishida and Johnson, with one hand seeing Johnsen limp from the small blind and Ishida check the big blind.
The 5♥Q♥J♣ flop was bet by Johnson for 300,000, and Ishida called. The A♠ turn saw Johnson ask for 1,200,000 and Ishida made another call to see the 8♣ river, which both players checked. Johnson tabled his 10♠8♥ for a pair of eights but Ishisa took the pot with J♥2♥, levelling out the top two stacks.
