Kulev Triples Up

Alex Kulev opened to 3,000,000 on the button holding A♠4♠, leaving himself just 500,000 behind. Yuri Dzivielevski called from the small blind with J♠10♠ and Teun Mulder also came along from the big blind with K♠9♦, taking the players three-ways to the flop.

The dealer fanned the 9♠7♠4♣ flop, which saw Dzivielevski bet 2,500,000. Mulder made a call and Kulev moved all in for his last 500,000. There was plenty to work with for all players with Dzivielevski having flopped a flush and straight draw, Mulder hitting top pair, and Kulev flopping bottom pair and the nut flush draw.

The 7♦ was turned, which didn't change the standings, and Mulder remained ahead. After seeing Dzivielevski check, Mulder bet 3,000,000. Dzivielevski called and the 2♠ completed the board, bringing in the spade flush.

Action checked to showdown and Kulev tripled up from the hand, with Dzivielevski taking the side pot.

Alex Kulev opened with K♥5♥ on the button and Teun Mulder defended his big blind with 8♦7♦. The 5♦Q♠9♦ flop was checked and the pair quickly checked to the 10♠ turn.

No further bets were made to get to the 3♥ river and Mulder bet out 3,400,000, which was enough to get Kulev off his pair of fives.

Dzivielevski Calls Mulders Bluff

Teun Mulder opened to 1,700,000 on the button with A♦J♠ and Yuri Dzivielevski defended K♣8♦ from the big blind.

A 3♠A♠4♥ flop was checked quickly by Dzivielevski, and Mulder bet 1,300,000. Dzivielevski didn't hesitate before giving up his hand.

In the next hand, Dzivielevski limped with J♦3♥ from the small blind and Mulder checked his 9♣2♣ from the big blind.

Dzivielevski picked up bottom pair on the A♥7♥3♠ board and opted to check. Mulder bet 800,000 and Dzivielevski stuck around. A 4♥ was turned and Dzivielevski made another swift check. This time, Mulder checked behind.

A Q♥ river brought in the flush for Dzivielevski and he moved out 800,000. Mulder raised to 2,400,000 which saw Dzivielevski call his bluff and take down the pot.

A 5♥2♠10♦ flop saw both quickly check to get to the 8♠ turn. Both made slower checks to see the J♥ river and, with neither player hitting much, Mulder checked again. Kulev moved out 3,200,000 and action went back to Mulder, who quickly mucked.

Kulev Flops a Flush

Teun Mulder limped with 9♣2♣ from the small blind and Alex Kulev raised to 2,400,000 with Q♦2♠ from the big blind. Mulder folded and Kulev scooped the pot.

Soon after, Kulev limped with 10♣6♣ from the small blind and Yuri Dzivielevski checked 8♦4♠ from the big blind to see the 9♣A♣3♣ flop. Action was checked to the 8♥ turn, which saw Dzivielevski pick up a pair of eights, but that wasn't holding against Kulev's flopped flush. Kulev bet out 1,4000,000 and Dzivielevski called, taking them to the 2♣ river.

Kulev checked, and Dzivielevski quickly checked behind, with Kulev scooping the pot.

A A♣3♣J♣ flop saw Dzivielevski pick up two pair and bet 2,600,000 and action went to Theologis who had to call off his remaining stack to stay in the hand. He commited the rest of his chips and flipped over his cards.

Theologis stood as he saw he was behind, but the 10♣ turn put him in a better position.

With still only had two outs that could save him, he continued to pick up his bag, and put it on his back before the dealer peeled the river. It wasn't long before his tournament life came to an end after seeing the Q♦ complete the board.

Mulder Gets Away from Dzivielevski

In the first hand back from the break, Yuri Dzivielevski limped with K♦K♣ from the small blind and Teun Mulder checked his K♠10♥ from the big blind.

A 6♠J♠5♣ flop saw Dzivielevski check and Mulder check behind, taking them to the 2♣ turn. Dzivielevski bet 1,000,000 and Mulder called.

The 8♠ completed the board and Dzivielevski bet 3,300,000 which was too much for Mulder, and he mucked.
