The Gift That Keeps on Giving

Level 27 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Picking up the action on a KA7J turn, Will Givens checked from middle position to Felix Kuemayr on the button. Kuemayr checked behind, and the A river completed the board.

Givens then bet 2,300,000 into the pot of roughly 2,000,000. Kuemayr tanked long enough for Givens to call the clock. Kuemayr was given a 30-second countdown, during which he folded to concede the pot.

On the next deal, Romain Lewis raised to 200,000 under the gun, and Givens three-bet to 600,000 as next to act. It folded back to Lewis, who swiftly mucked to grant another pot to the table chip leader.

Lucas Jumalon raised to 200,000 from the hijack, and Daniel Hachem was the only caller from the button.

Jumalon checked the 7108 flop, and Hachem took the opportunity to bet 225,000. Jumalon called.

The 7 paired the board, and Jumalon checked again. Hachem fired a second barrel of 425,000, but Jumalon meticulously assembled a check-raise to 1,050,000, prompting an immediate fold from Hachem.

Urban and Fragoso checked down the J61079 board. Jattin then turned over J9 for two pair, Urban mucked A3, while Fragoso took the side pot with A9.

"You and me in the Coliseum, Greg. The war has begun," Jattin said to the new dealer at his table.

Two Brutal Set-Over-Set Coolers Send High-Stakes Pros Out of WSOP Main Event

Level 27 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Sandvik & Tsai
Sandvik & Tsai

If one set-over-set cooler wasn't painful enough, the 2026 World Series of Poker Main Event produced two within moments of each other on different tables. Both were every bit as brutal as the bad beat that kicked off Day 6.

High-stakes pros Espen Sandvik and Andy "Andy Stacks" Tsai both saw deep runs come to heartbreaking ends on Day 6 after flopping or turning sets, only to discover their opponents held even bigger ones.

Tsai is best known for battling in some of the biggest cash games in the world, while Sandvik is no stranger to the high roller circuit either, with numerous cashes in $25,000 buy-in events. Neither could survive one of poker's nastiest coolers.

Gaston Gets a Tank-Fold From Lapossie

Level 27 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Tyler Gaston raised to 200,000 from the button, and Matthew Lapossie was the only caller from the small blind.

Both players checked the 875 flop before the 5 landed on the turn. Lapossie led out for 200,000, and Gaston called.

Lapossie checked the 9 river, and Gaston bet 450,000. After a brief tank, Lapossie folded, relinquishing the pot to Gaston.

Farid Jattin

Benjamin Morgan open-jammed for 800,000 in late position and Farid Jattin re-shoved in the small blind for 880,000. David Urban then tanked in the big blind before eventually folding.

Benjamin Morgan: QQ All in
Farid Jattin: 99

Morgan had the better pair and nothing changed on the runout of K7AK5 as Jattin was left with just above a starting stack, leading to a quip from Cade Lautenbacher.

"You just buy in?" Lautenbacher asked Jattin.

Antonin Hays: AK All in
Sachin Joshi: 1010

Fei Puts Villamarin in the Blender

Level 27 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Wesley Fei
Wesley Fei

Heads-up on a flop of K73, Carlos Chadha Villamarin checked from the big blind and Wesley Fei bet 150,000 from early position. Villamarin then check-raised to 375,000 and Fei responded by clicking it back to 600,000. Villamarin called.

Both players checked on the 7 turn, but Fei bet 1,100,000 after being checked to a final time on the A river.

Villamarin went deep into the tank, re-checking his hole cards and musing what hands he could beat. After several minutes, Fei asked for a clock and Villamarin snap-folded.

"I normally don't call clock, but you too so long," Fei said.

"Sorry. Nice hand, you put me in a tough spot," Villamarin replied.
