Deeb Fails to Bluff Ensan

Level 20 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Shaun Deeb
Shaun Deeb

Shaun Deeb made it 40,000 to go as first to act. It folded to Hossein Ensan on the button, who called, and Marius Gicovanu came along from the big blind.

The trio checked through the JA8 flop as well as the 10 turn. It again checked to Ensan on the 8 river. He decided to bet 110,000, quickly folding out Gicovanu's K4.

Deeb raised to 410,000, however, sending Ensan into the tank. After some time, Ensan flicked in the call. Deeb showed J10 for two pair turned into a bluff, but Ensan had a straight with KQ to rake in the sizable pot.

Patrick Leonard is at a nearby table and has already increased his stack to 900,000 after starting the day with 295,000.

Brunson was behind but flopped well as the 1099 gave him two pair. Zarlenga had some outs with the backdoor flush and straight draw, and the 6 turn brought him in another spade.

It all ended on the 10 river which saw Brunson end with a boat, and Zarlenga was left to leave the tournament area having been eliminated with around 490 players remaining, taking home $32,500.

With about 600,000 already in the pot on a board of A1065, Gregor Sverko checked from the cutoff and Simon Britton fired 370,000 from the button. Sverko came along with a call.
