Abdul Samad was relieved when he finally jumped above the starting stack again. He had been all-in and at risk for 40,400 with 7♦7♥ against the A♦8♠ of Anh Nguyen and came out on top thanks to the 9♥7♠2♦A♣A♥ board with sevens full of aces.

Kalidou Sow raised to 2,400 in the hijack. Artur Martirosian then moved all in for 14,400 in the cutoff, and Ananth Ganesan made the minimum four-bet to 26,400 in the small blind.
Sow quickly folded, and the players revealed their cards.
Artur Martirosian: 8♥8♣
Ananth Ganesan: A♦Q♠
Martirosian found a set on the 4♠10♠3♦8♠ turn, but it also gave Ganesan a flush draw. The 9♣ river was not a spade, however, granting Martirosian his double-up.
On a 2♦5♠5♦ flop, Stephanie Belk checked from under the gun, and James Cavanaugh bet 10,000 into a pot of roughly 17,000 a couple of seats to Belk's left. Belk called before the action checked through on the 6♣ turn.
Belk took over the betting lead on the 8♣ river, betting 15,000. Cavanaugh gave it serious consideration.
"I can't beat two pair," he said, and after another minute passed, he returned his cards to the dealer.
There were roughly 12,000 chips in the pot on 2♥J♠4♠.
Patrick Leonard in early position checked to Simon Taberham in middle position, and he fired out a bet of 6,000. Sarah Cook in the big blind raised to 15,000, Leonard folded but Taberham called.
The 7♦ on the turn saw Cook bet 32,000, and after a short while Taberham shoved for roughly 75,000. Cook snap-called.
Simon Taberham: 4♦2♦
Sarah Cook: 4♣4♥
Taberham was drawing dead on the turn, and the 5♥ was dealt on the river to end his Main Event.
Will Givens opened to 2,500 from the hijack and in the big blind, Theodore Doukas defended.
The flop rolled out 10♣6♠2♥ and Doukas check-called a bet of 2,000 from Givens.
Doukas checked once more on the turn 2♦ where Givens sized up to 4,500, earning a fold from Doukas.
"I get nervous when I get real hands," remarked Givens as he showed A♥A♣ while the pot was being pushed towards him.
The board read 2♣A♦3♣8♣ with about 15,000 in the middle when this hand was picked up. Aamir Ghai chose to bet 5,000 from early position and was called by David Kazanjian from the cutoff.
The 5♣ river led to a bet of 10,500 from Ghai before Kazanjian responded with a re-raise to 27,500.
Ghai, when faced with the decision, opted to fold and showed K♦K♥ face up.
Kazanjian showed J♣ as he took in the pot.
Jaime Lewin opened to 2,600 on the button and was three-bet to 6,000 by Oliver Entine in the small blind. Shiina Okamoto cold four-bet to 13,200 from the big blind, which got a fold from Lewin, but a call from Entine.
Entine check-called a 13,000 bet from Okamoto on the 7♥10♥4♠ flop and then both players checked on the 2♥ turn and 4♣ river.
Entine turned over Q♠Q♦ and Okamoto sent her hand into the muck.
“Wow,” the players at Table 558 reacted as the dealer fanned the board of K♥3♥9♣A♠K♦, with Cary Christensen all in for roughly 40,000 and at risk against Onur Unsal.
Cary Christensen: A♦3♦
Onur Unsal: K♠K♣
Christensen had two pair but it wasn't enough against Unsal's set which improved into quads to send Christensen to the rail.
With 15,000 in the pot, Hossein Ensan checked from the small blind on the 6♣K♥5♥ flop, and Kenny Nguyen bet 6,400 from the cutoff. Ensan check-raised to about 15,000, and after getting the clock called on him, Nguyen jammed for around 40,000. Ensan stuck in the call.
Kenny Nguyen: A♣K♣
Hossein Ensan: 6♥5♣
Ensan had flopped two pair, leaving Nguyen needing help from the dealer to survive.
The J♥ turn and 9♦ river were no help to Nguyen, who became the latest casualty of the Main Event.
Action folded to Robert Rowland in the cutoff who made it 2,700 to play only for Robert Peltekci on the button to three-bet to 7,500.
"I'm trying to tell you something!" warned Peltekci as Rowland tossed in the call. "Really? And you still call!"
The players checked down the 9♦6♣6♥7♠8♣ board with Peltekci tabling J♥J♣ to be pushed the pot.
"I'm not looking for action guys" he let the table know, "But if I got a hand I'm going with it!"
