Carter Jones opened to 3,000 on the button before Matas Cimbolas defended the big blind.
Cimbolas checked the 7♣8♦7♠ flop, which brought about a wager of 3,000 from Jones. Cimbolas made the call.
Both players checked the J♥ turn to bring about the 2♥ river. Cimbolas opted to bet 10,000 on fifth street. Jones gave it some consideration before he made the call to go to a showdown.
Cimbolas showed J♠8♣ for jacks and eights, which was good as Jones mucked in response.
Brian Malik raised to 26,000 in middle position, which both Jeffrey Farnes and Casey Carroll called from the button and big blind.
The action checked to Farnes on a 5♣J♦4♠ flop, who bet 4,000. Carroll then responded with a check-raise in the big blind, raising to 10,500. Malik quickly folded, and, after a bit more thought, Farnes followed suit and returned his cards to the dealer.
In a battle between the blinds, Carl Shaw bet 4,500 on a flop of Q♠7♥4♥ and Axel Bayout called.
The turn was the 3♠ and Shaw bet another 14,000. Bayout again called and checked the K♦ river, and Shaw checked back this time.
Bayout turned over K♥7♣ for two pair, and Shaw mucked.
Kenna James raised to 3,500 from under the gun to pick up three callers including the table chip leader Joseph Shaw one seat over. On the A♠J♦8♣ flop, Paul Volpe in the big blind check-folded to James' bet of 5,000 and two callers. The trio checked the 2♠ turn and James bet the 10♦ river for 25,000. Shaw and Xoan Miguez both folded.
Jonathan Dokler raised to 3,500 in the cutoff, and one seat to his left, Freddy Oexemann three-bet to 10,000 on the button. Smith Collins then put in a four-bet from the small blind, moving all in for 46,500. That did the trick as both Dokler and Oexemann folded when the action returned to them.
Three-way to the K♥Q♦6♠ flop, Matt Affleck checked from the big blind to Michael Krasienko in middle position. He bet 6,500, folding out Aaron Speer on the button.
Affleck called after some thought and check-called again when Krasienko sized up to 12,000 on the 2♣ turn.
Krasienko piled in 31,000 on the 4♠ river. Affleck tanked for a couple of minutes, eventually giving up on the pot with a fold.
Antiuwan Jones raised to 3,000 from the button, and Nicklaus Thompson jammed for about 40,000 from the big blind. Jones spent quite some time in the tank before deciding to make the call.
Nicklaus Thompson: A♣K♠
Antiuwan Jones: A♠Q♠
Thompson had Jones dominated with the better kicker, and neither player improved on the 5♠3♣3♥8♥6♠ runout. Thompson's king-kicker played, earning him a double through Jones.
Will Kassouf raised to 3,500 from the hijack and Pedro Neves called in the small blind.
Neves check-called a 5,000 bet from Kassouf on the 7♣4♠2♣ flop and then both players checked on the 6♥ turn.
Neves overbet the pot for 25,000 on the 10♣ river and Kassouf took his time before sliding his cards into the muck.
