Krishna Jammula bet 3,500 from middle position on a flop of 5♦9♣K♥ before Thomas Calzone raised to 16,000 in the small blind. Brandon Takao called in early position, while Jammula got out of the way.
Both players checked the 8♥ turn. Calzone also checked the 8♣ river, and Takao bet 20,000. Calzone snap-called with K♠Q♠, and Takao mucked.
Nils Pudel raised and picked up three callers after which they headed to the K♣Q♥J♠ flop. Only Lawrence Cook in the big blind check-called Pudel's 3,000 wager. Cook checked the K♠ turn, Pudel bet 9,000, and Cook called.
The 4♦ fell on the river and Cook checked a third time. Pudel bet 25,000 and won the pot uncontested.
Farah Galfond raised to 2,500 on the button, and Hertsel Levy defended his big blind.
Galfond fired out a bet of 1,500 when the flop came 6♠Q♦A♠, and Levy called. The J♠ on the turn saw Galfond fire out another bet of 5,000 and Levy called again.
The Q♣ on the turn saw Levy lead for 15,000, and after a few moments of thinking Galfond put him all in for around 30,000 more. Levy snap-called.
Hertsel Levy: Q♥4♣
Farah Galfond: J♣J♥
Galfond's full house sent Levy to the rail and his Main Event came to an end.
There were over 17,000 in the middle on a board that read Q♦2♣10♥7♣A♣ when this hand was picked up. Ramon Kropmanns checked from early position before Charles Ansanelli bet 10,000 from the hijack. Kropmanns responded with a check-raise to 50,800 to put Ansanelli to a big decision on the river.
Ansanelli went into the tank as he cut out the chips for a call and took an estimation of how much he would have left should he call.
"Show me king-Jack," said Ansanelli, presumably expecting the worst as he made the call.
Kropmanns showed K♣Q♥ for a pair of queens instead. Ansanelli tabled Q♠10♦ for two pair to claim the pot.
"You had me seeing ghosts," said Ansanelli. "I almost folded."
There were already three players in an 18,000 pot looking at the 3♠4♣6♥ flop.
Christopher Richardson bet 5,500 on the flop and Mario Vojvoda folded from under the gun. Rivon Moshi called from the cutoff and the pair continued heads up to the 5♣ turn.
Moshi checked, Richardson bet 7,500 and Moshi tanked, counted out his stack, and then raised to 21,300. Richardson made a swift fold, leaving Moshi to pick up the pot just before the dinner break.
