Death by Quads
Level 11
: Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Vanessa Ames opened to 5,500 from middle position. Action folded to Benjamin Pollak in the small blind who threw in a three-bet to 16,000. Ames called the bet, and the two saw a flop of 6♦A♦6♠.
Ames called a bet of 4,000, bringing the two to a 10♦ turn. Here, Pollak bet out again, this time for 5,000, only to see his opponent min-click it to 10,000. Pollak wasn't done, however, as he three-bet to 20,000. Ames called, and the 8♦ peeled off on the river.
Pollak fired a third barrel of 40,000, only for Ames to move all in. Pollak called, only to see the disgusting beat he was facing.
He had flopped aces full with A♠A♥ but that was somehow no good, as Ames tabled 6♣6♥ for flopped quads, to eliminate her opponent from contention.
