Shapiro and Iachan Building Early

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante
Daniel Iachan

In a 6,600 pot, Joshua Shapiro checked from the big blind on the 65K4 turn. Jeevan Nomula then bet 2,000, which Shapiro raised to 5,500.

Nomula called to the 7 river, but once there, he quickly gave up against Shapiro's next bet of 7,500.

Over at another table, cutoff Daniel Iachan bet 4,100 into a pot of 11,500 on a 8995 turn. Patricia Meherin check-called in middle position, after which the 3 river was checked to showdown.

Meherin was only able to show 22, but her ducks were massively outclassed by the AA of Iachan.

"I was hoping it was ace-king," Meherin stated as the chips were shipped to Iachan.
