Yubin Tao opened from under the gun, and action folded to Mitchell Garshofsky, who three-bet to 3,000 on the button. Tao four-bet jammed for his last 20,300, and Garshofsky made a swift call to cover him.

Tao was looking to hold with his pocket aces, and the 6♠4♦Q♦ flop kept him ahead. There was a small sweat of the backdoor straight or flush for Garshofsky, but that soon ended when the 8♣ was turned.

Tao locked up the double on the 3♠ river and remained in the main event. After the hand, he remarked, "That's all it takes, aces!" and another player at the table said, "You might make it to Day 2 now, just fold everything."
