Kurtzman Keeps Waking Up With Big Pairs

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Brent Jenkins raised to 1,500 in middle position and Eben Kurtzman three-bet to 3,000 in the hijack. Jenkins then four-bet to 8,500 and Kurtzman moved all in.

Jenkins had around 40,000 remaining and didn't take long before throwing away his hand. "You're just going to keep waking up with it every hand, aren't you?" tablemate Simon Britton said to Kurtzman.

"Here you go," Kurtzman replied, tossing AA into the middle of the table.

"That's three times today," Britton added.

"Only twice," Kurtzman said.

"Oh, you had kings the other time," Britton replied.

England Puts Pressure on Sims

Kyna England opened to 1,200 from middle position and Christopher Sims three-bet to 3,200. England four-bet to 8,500 and Sims called.

The QK9 flop saw Kyna bet 5,500. Sims checked his hand before throwing his cards into the muck, allowing England to take the pot.

Alvarez Ships it on Iermolcheva

James Alvarez opened to 1,100 first to act and was called by Olga Iermolcheva in the hijack, Oleksii Mezhenkov in the small blind, and Calvin Steiner in the big blind for a four-way pot.

It was checked to Alvarez on the 9A3 flop and he continued for 2,100. Iermolcheva Steiner called, but Mezhenkov folded.

The 5 fell on the turn and both Steiner and Alvarez checked to Iermolcheva, who bet 6,600. Steiner folded, but Alvarez called.

Alvarez shoved for approximately 24,000 after the 7 completed the board and Iermolcheva quickly folded.

Erlandsson Raises Big on the River

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Heads-up on a board of JK98, Daniel Erlandsson bet 9,000 from under the gun and Shusaku Kondo called in the big blind.

The river was the 2 and Kondo led out for 15,000. Erlandsson then raised to 41,000 and Kondo called.

Kondo turned over AA, but Erlandsson had JJ for a set to win the pot.

Darner Takes From Anzio

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Mark Darner raised to 1,100 in the hijack, Matthew Sabia called on the button and Eden Anzio called in the small blind.

Action checked around when the flop came A25, Anzio decided to lead when the J hit the turn, Darner called and Sabia folded.

Action checked again on the Q river, Anzio tabled 99 but could not beat Darner's KK for a bigger pair.

Tseng Takes from Katchalov

Eugene Katchalov opened from the hijack to 1,200, and only Chia Tseng, in the small blind, called.

Both players checked the 10J10 flop before seeing the 3 turn.

Tseng checked for a second time, but continued with a call versus Katchalov's bet of 1,800.

The river K saw Tseng spring a trap, check-raising to 10,000 after Katchalov had placed a bet of 4,500.

Katchalov raised his eyebrows upon seeing the unexpected raise, and after a few moments pondering, he returned his cards to the dealer.

Mizrachi Jams on Jenkins

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Players were already on the 6JJ10Q runout and Brent Jenkins had bet 17,000 on the river from the small blind.

Michael Mizrachi responded with a shove from the cutoff, which put Jenkins into the tank.

Jenkins flashed 10x10x before throwing them face down into the muck, passing over a stack to Mizrachi.

Milukas Shoves on Vincent

Christopher Vincent raised to 1,100 under the gun and John Gordon called in middle position. Joseph Milukas then three-bet to 5,500 in the hijack and only Vincent called.

The flop came 693 and Milukas continued for 4,500. Vincent called to see the K turn, where Milukas moved all in for 22,000. Vincent quickly folded.
