Marcellus called for an eight to appear on the river, but the deck did not cooperate as it brought the J♣ river, sending Marcellus to the rail.
Stephen Tolbert found himself under the gun, and as first to act he open-shoved for 600,000. Action folded around to Joseph Roh on the button, who called off, and the blinds got out of the way.

It folded to Michael Fohs in the hijack who shoved for his last 280,000 and Jeffrey Kimber made the call on the button for the following showdown.

Fohs was in bad shape at first with the 8♦2♣6♣3♠ board but a K♠ hit the river to give him a pair of kings and the double up.
Stephen Tolbert raised in middle position to 125,000, before seeing Mikhail Zavoloka move all in for 365,000. Action folded back to Tolbert, who made the call.

Zavoloka was already ahead, but the 10♥3♥K♥ was certainly welcome.
The 6♣ turn and 2♥ river sealed the deal, and the dealer pushed the pot to Zavoloka.
Action folded all the way round to Pat Mccoy on the button, and he shoved his remaining 75,000, good for just a big blind and a half. As there was no small blind, big blind Loris Corbelli was calling any two. He put in the chips blind, before peeling his cards to reveal he couldn't have picked up a worse combo.

Corbelli took the lead on the 4♠7♦Q♦ flop, and held it on the 5♣ turn. Mccoy called for a deuce, and the dealer obliged, giving Corbelli two pair on the 2♦ river, but Mccoy picked up a wheel.

Sebastiaan de Jonge shoved from under the gun for his last 60,000, with Q♣3♦ in his hands, and only Tanupat Punjarojanakul made the call, holding A♣J♣.
de Jonge had the dominated hand but the board brought him trips with 8♥3♥3♠K♣6♣ to almost triple up.
Action was picked up with Lisa Teebagy all-in against Paulo Gini, at risk.

Gini spiked a pair immediately on the flop Q♦K♦4♠ leaving Teebagy to hope for a miracle. That miracle didn't happen when the 2♣ turn and the J♠ river dropped.
Teebagy matched Gini's chips and was left with around 70,000, just a little bit more than a big blind.
Upon return from the dinner break, the tournament director did a quick survey of the remaining players.
He was looking for the oldest and youngest players remaining in the field, and the results were as follows:
