Alan Gould raised and faced a shove from Troy Peterson seated in the big blind for 355,000. After some consideration, Gould made the call:

Gould had the best hand but the board brought J♥7♥J♦2♥6♥ to give two pair to Peterson along with the needed double up.
Brian Brenneke jammed from under the gun for 560,000. Fredrick Avery to his left three-bet all-in for approximately 1,500,000, then Lawrence Rabie in the cutoff went into the tank before folding what he later said was A♣K♣.
Rajendra Ajmani on the button struggled to make a decision as well. The clock was called and his hand was folded at the end of the 30-second countdown. He said he had QxQx.

While Rabie and Ajmani were more than happy to see that they folded against aces, the low board of 7♠9♥4♥6♣5♣ didn't change anything and Brenneke was eliminated.
Jason Sell raised to 110,000 in early position, Yvonne Alton flatted on the button, and Elan Lepovic three-bet shoved for 1,365,000 in the small blind to put himself at risk.
Sell thought for a moment before folding and Alton counted out her chips before making the call.

The board ran out 4♠A♥6♠6♣3♠ and Lepovic's pair of kings held to secure him the double up.
Zal Irani raised to 105,000 from the hijack, and Yoon Kim called to see the flop. The flop was 2♦10♥8♥, and Irani bet 120,000. Kim raised to 325,000, and Irani made the call.
The turn 10♦ had Irani check, and Kim moved all in for 500,000. Irani folded face up A♥J♥ for the flush draw, and Yoon showed 8♣8♠ for the full house.
Ranjit Randhawa raised under the gun, Nate Castro announced all in from the big blind, Randhawa called.

The flop came Q♥8♠8♥, the 10♣ moved Randhawa one step closer to victory but the 6♦ on the river eliminated him from the tournament.
The very next hand:
Action folded to Nate Castro in the small blind who put the big blind John Dreux all in, Dreux called.

The board ran out 8♦5♥3♥2♣7♦, and Dreux was eliminated.
Gregory Miller opened to 125,000 and it folded to Josef Gulas in the big blind who opted to call.
Both checked on the 2♠4♣9♠ flop and a K♠ showed up on the turn. This time Gulas check-called Miller for 200,000.
The river was the Q♦ and they checked. Miller tabled A♣K♦ for apair of kings but Gulas held K♣2♥ for two pair and he received the pot to climb to almost 4 million chips.
Scotty Nguyen in the cutoff and Robert Dugan in the small blind moved all-in with approximately 1,200,000 each.

Dugan flopped two pair on K♥A♣8♠, but Nguyen hit a set and kept the lead on the 2♠ turn and the 5♦ river. Dugan was slightly covered, so he was eliminated.
Jeffrey Coffin moved all in for 520,000 from the hijack position, and Roger McDow made the call from the big blind with a monster stack.

The board came out with 8♦6♠10♦7♥6♣, and quad sixes were good for McDow.
Guy Cicconi moved all in under the run for 335,000 and Shawn Van Asdale reshoved on the button for just over 600,000.

The flop came Q♠5♣7♥, improving Van Asdale to a set of queens and leaving Cicconi nearly drawing dead.
"I don't think I'm going to escape this one," said Cicconi as he began to stand up.
The 3♥ turn gave him some hope with outs to a gutshot but the 3♦ rolled off on the river to send him packing.
