Rawtani Flushed Out Twice

Level 20 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
Nitesh Rawtani
Nitesh Rawtani

Nitesh Rawtani had made it 144,000 to go preflop when Dustin Nelson put in the raise to 456,000, sending Rawtoni into the tank.

"How much is in your stack total?" Rawtani asked Nelson, who replied with 693,000.

Rawtani then proceeded to tank for over seven minutes as he ate his sandwich. "I'm never supposed to fold this..." he admitted.

"Classic sandwich decision, eh?" another player joked as the time dragged by.

Rawtani finally decided just to call, and the two players went to a flop of 329, where Nelson wasted no time moving all in for 237,000.

"Well, I've come this far," Rawtani said after another two-minute round of tanking and made the call.

Dustin Nelson: AK98All in
Nitesh Rawtani: AKKQ

"Oh, so you DON'T have aces!" Rawtani sounded relieved as he was ahead with his pocket kings, but the turn immediately killed him as it came the 7 to give Nelson the nut flush.

"How do you get rewarded with that hand against mine!? Rawtani was astonished as the river 6 shipped the pot over to Nelson.

"I cant believe you tanked that long with that hand!" Nelson retorted, " You just wasted nine and a half minutes of our time!"

Left short, Rawtani then got it all in the very next hand with pocket kings, and once again, Shaome Yang hit the nut diamond flush on the turn to send him shaking his head all the way to the payout desk.

Medic Spins Up His Four Big Blinds

Level 20 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Nenad Medic was on a very short stack of four big blinds and was sitting in the big blind when Jessica Teusl raised from the small blind and they got it all in.

Nenad Medic: AJ98All in
Jessica Teusl: 9755

The board came AJQ47 and Medic made a pair of aces, enough for the double-up.

A much bigger pot went his way a few hands later when he raised to 56,000 from the hijack, which was three-bet to 150,000 by Dylan Lambe in the small blind. Jannick Schöb called, and Medic called all in for 138,000 total.

The flop was Q63 and Lambe moved all in. Schöb folded and the other two turned over their cards.

Nenad Medic: KK93All in
Dylan Lambe: AQJ2

Medic was ahead on the flop, but Lambe made two pair on the J turn.

The river, however, was the 6, pairing the board to give Medic better two pair and the triple-up.
