Williams Tangles With Chip Leader

Level 16

Omaha 8 or Better

David Williams and Day 1 chip leader Sachin Bhargava took the seats of the two players Sean Perry eliminated early and just played a pot against each other.

In a blind versus blind battle, Bhargava raised to 8,000 from the small blind and Williams defended. Bhargava bet 12,000 on the {q-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{a-Hearts} flop, and Williams called to see the {9-Hearts} turn.

Both players checked, and also checked down the {6-Diamonds} river. Bhargava showed {j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{3-Spades}{2-Spades} for a pair of jacks and a low. Williams took one last look at his cards before flinging them into the muck.

Pauli Survives All-in Versus Turner

Level 16

No Limit Hold'em

Sebastian Pauli had pushed his last remaining 14,900 chips into the middle with {k-Hearts}{10-Clubs} and the action folded back around to Turner who tanked, but eventually called with {9-Clubs}{7-Clubs}.

The cards were all flipped face up and the flop of {a-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{3-Spades} missed both. The {9-Hearts} turn shot Turner into the lead, but it was short-lived, as the {k-Spades} came on the river. Pauli was awarded the pot with his one pair kings.
