Hands #46-49: Salomon Doubles Through Smith

Level 18 : 250,000/500,000, 500,000 ante
Rick Salomon
Rick Salomon

Hand #46: Rick Salomon opened to 1,300,000 from under the gun and Dan Smith shipped all in from the big blind. Salomon called off for another 9,275,000 and the cards were tabled.

Rick Salomon: {a-Spades}{10-Hearts}
Dan Smith: {k-Spades}{q-Hearts}

Salomon was slightly ahead with his ace high and the board of {7-Clubs}{4-Spades}{3-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} changed nothing. Salomon scored a full double up through Smith to keep his tournament hopes alive.

Hand #47: David Einhorn raised to 1,100,000 in the hijack and Smith put in a three-bet to 3,600,000 from the small blind. Einhorn threw his cards to the muck and Smith picked up the pot.

Hand #48: Justin Bonomo bumped it up to 1,150,000 in the cutoff and it was Salomon's turn to three-bet to 3,250,000 in the small blind. Bonomo quickly folded and Salomon scooped the pot.

Hand #49: Smith opened to 1,100,000 in the cutoff and Nick Petrangelo called in the big blind. The flop came {j-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} and Petrangelo check-folded to a bet of 1,400,000 from Smith.
