Several players checked around on the {6-Clubs}{3-Spades}{3-Hearts} flop, including Maurice Hawkins in early position, and the {4-Hearts} fell on the turn. Action checked to the cutoff and he bet 600. Hawkins check-raised to 1,500 and the cutoff called.

The {4-Clubs} hit the river and Hawkins bet 2,800.

"I missed," said the cutoff as he tossed his hand into the muck.

"I didn't," replied Hawkins with a smile as the dealer pushed the pot his way. "You didn't wanna hit."

Level 6 : 150/300, 50 ante
Michael Wang (taken during an earlier event)
Michael Wang (taken during an earlier event)

Michael Wang raised to 500 from mid-position and the player in the small blind three-bet to 1,500. The big blind folded and Wang four-bet to 3,800 which the small blind called.

The flop came {4-Spades}{10-Clubs}{8-Spades}, the player in the small blind check-shoved when Wang bet 3,850 for about 10,000. Wang snap-called.

Small Blind: {K-Spades}{K-Hearts}
Michael Wang: {A-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}

They both held an overpair in their hands but Wang had the better one with pocket aces.

The rest of the board was completed with the {6-Spades} on the turn and the {q-Diamonds} on the river for Wang's aces to hold and eliminate his opponent.

Deeb Looking for Third Bracelet of Summer

Level 5 : 100/200, 15 ante

Shaun Deeb won his second bracelet of the summer yesterday when he topped the $10,000 NLH 6-Max Championship. Battling for the Player of the Year, Deeb is still fully committed to the grind. He just took his seat in The Closer, trying to score some more points in the POY, which has mostly been a two-horse race between Deeb and 2018 Hall of Fame inductee John Hennigan.

Deeb accepted congratulations from the players at his table but from now on, it's everyone for himself.
