Tank-Call Wins for Makarov

Level 3 : 800/1,600, 0 ante
Alexey Makarov
Alexey Makarov

Pot-Limit 2-7 Triple Draw

There was 16,000 in the pot between three players at Table 430 and Eric Kurtzman took one from the small blind on the second draw. Opponents Alexey Makarov and Eli Elezra in cutoff and button, respectively, followed suit. Makarov bet 11,500 and only Kurtzman called. Kurtzman took a card and Makarov patted.

On the end, Kurtzman tanked about a minute and bet 14,000. Makarov tanked for several minutes and seemed truly agonized, putting his head in his hands and rubbing his eyes. Finally, he called.

"Ten," Kurtzman said, showing {10-}{7-}{6-}{3-}{2-}.

Makarov could beat it with a nine-perfect.

"Nice call," Kurtzman said.

Abdalla Flops Top Pair on Rutter

Level 3 : 800/1,600, 0 ante

No-Limit Hold'em

In a three-bet pot with 6,800 in the middle, and the flop reading {5-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{8-Spades}, Stuart Rutter bet out 4,000 and Jake Abdalla called.

Both players then checked down the {K-Diamonds} and {6-Diamonds} on the turn and river.

Rutter tabled his {Q-Spades}{J-Clubs}, but Abdalla's {9-Hearts}{8-Hearts} scooped the pot.

No-Limit 2-7 Single Draw

From under the gun, Mike Leah raised it up to 1,000 and David Benyamine called from the big blind.

Benyamine drew one, as did Leah.

Benyamine checked, Leah bet 3,000, and Benyamine folded.

Woods and Buchalter Chop

Level 3 : 800/1,600, 0 ante

Badeucey

Yehuda Buchalter opened to 1,600 from under the gun and James Woods called from the cutoff.

Both players drew two and checked. On the second draw each player drew two and Buchalter bet out 1,600 with Woods calling.

The final draw saw Buchalter stand pat, and Woods take one as they both checked.

Buchalter tabled his {8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{2-Hearts}, and Woods his {10-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{3-Spades}{2-Clubs} for a better three-card dugi, and the pot was chopped.

Nut-Nut for Buchalter

Level 3 : 800/1,600, 0 ante

Badeucey

James Woods bet from the small blind after the second draw and Yehuda Buchalter raised from the button. Woods called and drew, while Buchalter was pat. Woods check-called a final bet.

"Nut-nut," Buchalter said casually, spreading {7-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{3-Spades}{2-Hearts}.

Woods showed {8-Spades}{7-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} for an eight-badugi, along with another seven that he drew on the end.
