Ole Schemion Scoops with Full House, But Who Shows?

Level 2
Ole Schemion
Ole Schemion

Zo Karim made it 200 first to act and four players called, one of whom was German poker phenom, Ole Schemion.

The dealer spread a {6-Spades}{2-Clubs}{K-Clubs} flop and the action checked round to the button who bet 400. Only Schemion would call, then the {2-Hearts} landed on the turn and the German check-called another bet of 700. The river then brought the {J-Diamonds} and both players quickly checked.

"Who shows?" asked Schemion.

"Turn your cards over!" cried several players as their table was in the midst of being broken.

"No, who shows?" asked Schemion again, asking which player had to show his hand first.

The dealer told Schemion that he did, and with that the German — who is playing his first WSOP and his very first event — tabled his {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} for a full house to scoop the pot and move to just under 10,000.

Zo Karim and two others committed 775 each with Karim the aggressor before he bet 925 on the {4-Hearts}{6-Spades}{Q-Diamonds} flop. Following one fold, his other opponent moved all in for 1,450 and Karim called.

Karim: {A-Diamonds}{4-Spades}
Opponent: {5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}

The turn and river brought the {9-Spades} and {2-Diamonds}, and Karim slipped to 3,100 in chips.
