Ashby and Rast Chop

Level 13

Stud-8

Erik Sagstrom: {x-}{x-} / {2-Spades}{k-Clubs}{2-Hearts} (FOLD)
Brian Rast: {x-}{x-} / {k-Spades}{a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{8-Spades} / {x-}
Minh Ly: {x-}{x-} / {j-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} (FOLD)
Richard Ashby: {x-}{x-} / {7-Spades}{2-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} / {x-}

Sagstrom brought it in, Rast called, and Ly completed. Ashby, Sagstrom, and Rast all called. On fourth street, the action checked to Ashby, who bet, and everyone called. The same happened on fifth, but this time only Rast check-called. Rast called two more times on sixth and seventh, and the hands were opened.

Ashby: {a-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}
Rast: {a-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{4-Hearts}

The two chopped the pot.

Song Stands Pat but Gipson Gets There in the End

Level 13

2-7 Triple Draw

Action folded around to Keith Gipson on the button and he raised to 20,000, leaving himself 68,000 behind. Kevin Song then three-bet to 30,000 from the big blind and Gipson called. Song stood pat, Gipson drew two and then Song fired out a bet.

"No shame in folding," Song said as Gipson debated what to do. Eventually he made the call and drew two after Song stood pat. The betting repeated itself, Song stood pat for a third time and Gipson drew one.

Both players checked and Song showed {10-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{8-Spades}{7-Clubs}{2-Hearts}. Unfortunately for him, it was no good as Gipson had made a better low with {9-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{5-Spades}{3-Clubs}{2-Spades}.

Meanwhile, 2013 WSOP POY hopeful Dan Kelly was eliminated in a hand f 2-7 Triple Draw over at Table 353, though the details escaped us.

Benyamine Looks at One Card

Level 13
David Benyamine
David Benyamine

Stud-8

Harry Thomas Jr.: {x-}{x-} / {8-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{9-Hearts} / {x-}
David Benyamine: {x-}{x-} / {6-Spades}{3-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} / {x-}

We caught the action on fourth street, where Thomas Jr. check-called a bet. He check-called another on fifth street, then check folded on fifth.

Benyamine claimed to have only looked at one of his downcards - the {a-Hearts} - and said the other card was two-sided, meaning he either had a pair of fours or a straight. He turned over the {4-Spades}, giving him the former.

Full House for Lindgren

Level 13

No-Limit Hold'em

In a three-bet pot, Erick Lindgren was pitted against Bryn Kenney out of position on the {8-Spades}{7-Spades}{2-Clubs} flop. Lindgren and Kenney both checked to see the {Q-Spades} land on the turn. Both checked again, and the river brought the {8-Diamonds}. Lindgren bet 56,000, and Kenney called.

Lindgren rolled over the {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs} for a full house, and Kenney mucked his hand.
