171st-161st Eliminations

In no particular order, here are the eliminations from 171st down to 161st, with each player earning a $2,465 payday.

A Few More Eliminations

The following players have been eliminated from the tournament and will take home $2,214, just missing out on a pay jump:

175th- Philip Valdens
174th- Jeffrey Van Den Broek
173rd- David Tiffenberg
172nd- Bernard Rygol

Laplante Plants Frankenberger

With about 7,000 in the pot and a flop of {3-}{4-}{5-}, Andy Frankenberger bet 3,500 from the big blind only to have Ryan "Protential" Laplante raise to 7,900 from the cutoff. Frankenberger thought for a long time before moving all in for around 40,000, and was snap-called by Laplante.

Showdown
Frankenberger: {7-Spades}{5-Spades}
Laplante: {6-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}

Frankenberger shot out of his seat when he discovered his opponent had flopped the nuts, meaning he needed a six just to chop. The {2-Hearts} turn was not it and neither was the {8-Clubs} river. With that, Laplante chipped up to over 100K while the 2012 World Series of Poker Player of the Year contender was eliminated from the tournament.

231st-208th Eliminations

Here's a look at the player who were eliminated from the start of the day all the way up to 208th place. While they're not in a specific order, each of them earned a $2,012 payday.

Frankenberger Doubles a Short Stack

Andy Frankenberger opened for 2,500 from the hijack and action folded to a short-stacked Gabriel Torres in the big blind. He looked down at his own stack and decided it was the moment to commit. Frankenberger asked for a count, which turned out to be 5,400 total, and then made the call.

Showdown
Frankenberger: {8-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}
Torres: {J-Hearts}{6-Clubs}

"Wow, you got it goodm" Frankeberger said after seeing they shared a six. The {J-Clubs}{A-Clubs}{7-Hearts} paired Torres, while the {K-Hearts} turn left Frankeberger drawing dead. "One of my favorite hands is 8-6," Frankenberger said after the {Q-Hearts} was put out on the river. "Not in that spot," he added.
