Day 2 Is Here!

Day One's Massive Field
Day One's Massive Field

Day two of Event 29: $1,000 Seniors No-Limit Hold'em Championship begins today with 462 players, just a fraction of the field size from yesterday. 4,128 seniors came out yesterday for their chance of winning a golden bracelet and a nice pay day. Spreading three rooms at the Rio this tournament broke the record for the largest single day start in poker history.

Today we expect the money bubble to burst fairly quickly seeing as we are only 39 people away from it. Players consistently dropped off yesterday, while a handful built up their stacks. One of those who did a tremendous job of building up their stack was Radwan Khuri who finished the day bagging 112,600 and is our current chip leader. Other notables in the field are Marcel Luske, and Dennis Phillips. Phillips played very strong yesterday consistently acquiring chips. Losing a few pots late last night caused him to dip down to 44,500, but he still possesses a healthy stack.

Today will be filled with eliminations, some happy to have made some money, some angry to not have gone further. To follow all the details stay tuned here at PokerNews for all the exciting action.
