Hand #70: Joe Pelton

Joe Pelton pushed all in from the button, and J.C. Tran asked for a count from the big blind. 355,000 total, came the reply, meaning it would cost Tran 305,000 more to call.

Tran, with 1.1 million behind, decided to pick another spot.

Hand #69: Rasmus Nielsen

Rasmus Nielsen had the button. J.C. Tran raised to 130,000 from under the gun, and Nielsen called from the button. The blinds got out of the way.

The flop came {3-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}. Both checked. The turn was the {5-Diamonds}. Tran bet 200,000, and Nielsen reraised to 700,000. Tran folded.

Rasmus Retakes Control

Rasmus Nielsen, who came in to today's final table with almost a 2:1 chip lead over second place, has just re-secured his chip lead at the table. With more than 4.2 million in chips, Rasmus has a 4:1 chip lead over second place, and nearly a 5:1 chip lead over everyone else.

Hand #65: Rasmus Nielsen

The last hand of the level began with Joe Pelton having the button. Rasmus Nielsen raised to 110,000 from the cutoff, and J.C. Tran called from the big blind.

The flop came single-suited -- {6-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{J-Clubs}. Tran checked, and Nielsen bet 165,000. Tran called.

The turn was the {K-Hearts}. Tran again checked, and this time Nielsen bet 400,000. After a small amount of deliberation, Tran called.

The river brought the {6-Spades}. Tran checked once more. Nielsen looked at the board, back at his stack, then at Tran. Then he bet 1 million.

Tran riffled his chips. The pot now held almost 2.4 million. After about two minutes, he made the call.

Nielsen showed pocket nines for the full house, and Tran mucked. Nielsen has retaken the chip lead.
