Bakker Adds Some More

Level 8 : 300/600, 75 ante

"Make that 230 mate!" said Piet Bakker as we were standing next to him, observing his table.

We promised to update his stack with 30,000, but needed to add some more by the time we walked away.

On a flop of {10-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} we saw the big blind check. Dutch bracelet winner Marcel Vonk, presumably the initial raiser in the hand, made a bet of 2,200. Both Bakker (middle position) and the big blind called.

The {J-Clubs} hit the turn and the same procedure was seen; the big blind checked, Vonk bet (4,000), Bakker called, the big blind called.

All three of them checked the {5-Diamonds} on the river and the big blind ({K-Spades}{Q-Spades}) and Vonk ({K-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}) showed the same hand. Bakker tabled {K-Hearts}{J-Spades} for two pair and took down the lot.
