Seven Tables Remain

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Two players busted almost at the same time to reduce the field to its last 62 hopefuls and thus the final seven tables of the tournament have been reached.

No Jazz for Chaz

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Charles Chattha
Charles Chattha

Charles "Chaz" Chattha four-bet shoved for 65,000 out of the small blind with {A-Spades} {K-Spades}. Antoine Saout had raised to 10,000 and Julien Brulet three-bet to 20,000, calling the shove with {5-Spades} {5-Clubs} after having won a bigger pot before already. The board ran out {6-Clubs} {5-Diamonds} {3-Hearts} {J-Hearts} {J-Diamonds} with the Brit being drawing dead after the flop already.

Three Seat Open

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Isabel Baltazar shoved all in for 45,000 from under the gun with pocket eights and ran straight into the pocket aces of an opponent. An equally short-stacked jeremy le Bolzer was all in with {J-Spades} {10-Spades} against the {K-Diamonds} {K-Hearts} of Charles Calfelis. The board ran out {8-Spades} {Q-Clubs} {Q-Diamonds} {J-Hearts} {X-} with the last card being a brick and that was it for le Bolzer.

Last but not least, Guy Goosens also left his seat as well.

Anthony Rodrigues lost with set under set to drop back to 130,000, which is around the same stack as his buddy Jean Marie Vandeborne. With 64 players remaining and 45 in the money, 19 of the participants will walk home empty-handed still.

Soltaninassab Busts to de Korver

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Shahriar Soltaninassab shoved his short stack from the button with pocket fours and Pieter de Korver finished off what he had started not long ago, calling with {A-Diamonds} {2-Diamonds} and getting there. The Dutchman also defended his small blind one hand later against Yehoram Houri's raise to 8,000 and saw a flop of {3-Diamonds} {J-Diamonds} {K-Diamonds}.

De Korver check-raised from 8,500 to 20,000 and flashed the {A-Diamonds} when Houri had mucked his {K-Hearts}. The Frenchman is still up nicely though after busting an opponent that was sitting in seat four before, calling the four-bet shove with pocket kings and holding up against the opponent's pocket queens.

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Dieter van Itterbeeck
Dieter van Itterbeeck

Dieter van Itterbeeck moved all in for 37,000 and was called by Shahriar Soltaninassab before Pieter de Korver moved all in from the small blind. Soltaninassab called with the biggest stack and {7-Hearts} {7-Diamonds} but de Korver won the pot with {A-Diamonds} {K-Clubs} on a board of {K-Hearts} {6-Diamonds} {3-Clubs} {8-Hearts} {2-Clubs}. Short stack van Itterbeeck held {7-Clubs} {9-Clubs} and had some hope on the turn with the straight draw, but couldn't get there anymore.

Wiesler Keeps Adding

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Andrey Dimitrov was all in via three-bet and Bjorn Wiesler reshoved from one seat over to isolate successfully with {A-Diamonds} {K-Clubs}. Dimitrov only held the {Q-Diamonds} {J-Hearts} and was drawing dead after the turn of a {A-Spades} {A-Clubs} {8-Hearts} {4-Diamonds} {7-Diamonds} board.

No Jack on the River

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Bjorn Wiesler raised to 10,000 from early position and Mathieu Laurain three-bet shoved for 50,500 out of the big blind. Wiesler called with the {J-Hearts} {J-Diamonds} and Laurain had a flip with his {A-Hearts} {K-Spades}. The {A-Spades} {7-Hearts} {2-Spades} flop improved the short stack and Wiesler joked: "No worries, jack on the river." However, his wish wasn't granted as the {8-Diamonds} turn and {Q-Diamonds} river completed the board.
